Troubleshooting Common Issues
If you experience issues with your air conditioner, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Unit does not turn on:
Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a functioning 115V outlet. Check your home's circuit breaker. - Air conditioner does not cool:
Verify that the thermostat is set to a cooler temperature than the room. Check if the air filter is clean and not obstructed. Ensure there are no obstructions to the air intake or exhaust vents. Confirm the unit is set to a 'Cool' mode, not just 'Fan'. - Unit is noisy:
Check if the unit is installed securely and level in the window. Vibrations can cause noise. Ensure no foreign objects are inside the unit or obstructing the fan blades. - Water leakage:
Confirm the unit is slightly tilted outwards to allow proper drainage of condensation. Check if the drain pan is clear of debris. - Reduced airflow:
Clean the air filter. Ensure the front grille is not blocked.
