The ClassicFlame 33II310GRA is designed to provide supplemental zone heating for areas up to 1,000 square feet. It features a tempered glass front, Spectrafire Plus flame effects, and Safer Plug fire prevention technology.

Important Safety Information

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, observe the following precautions:

  • Read all instructions before using this fireplace insert.
  • This appliance is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains, at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
  • Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
  • Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug, or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped, or damaged in any manner. Return heater to authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair.

  • This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas, and similar indoor locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
  • Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
  • To disconnect heater, turn controls to off, then remove plug from outlet.
  • Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
  • To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
  • All electrical heaters have hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable vapors or liquids are used or stored.
  • Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
  • Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).
  • The Safer Plug technology is designed to prevent electrical fires. If the plug detects an unsafe temperature, it will automatically shut off power to the unit.

Setup and Installation

Unpacking

Remove the fireplace insert from its packaging. Ensure all packing materials are removed from the unit before use. Keep plastic bags away from children.

Placement

  • This fireplace insert is designed for indoor use only.
  • Ensure the unit is placed on a firm, level surface.
  • Maintain a minimum clearance of 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front, sides, and rear of the unit to any combustible materials such as drapes, furniture, bedding, or other flammable items.
  • Do not block the air intake or exhaust vents.
  • This insert can be used in conjunction with ClassicFlame mantels, TV stands with insert capacity, or flush-mount trim kits (all sold separately). Follow the installation instructions provided with those accessories.

Electrical Connection

  • Ensure the power cord is not pinched or routed in a way that could cause damage.
  • Plug the fireplace insert directly into a 120V, 15 Amp grounded outlet. Do not use an extension cord or power strip.
  • The unit is equipped with Safer Plug technology, which monitors the plug's temperature to prevent overheating. If the plug becomes too hot, it will automatically shut off power.

Remote Control Battery Installation

  • Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
  • Insert two (2) AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  • Replace the battery compartment cover.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning:
    • Always disconnect power before cleaning.
    • Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or sprays.
    • Gently clean the glass front with a soft cloth and glass cleaner.
    • Periodically vacuum the air intake and exhaust vents to remove dust and debris.
  • Light Bulbs: The flame effect uses long-lasting LED technology and does not require bulb replacement.
  • Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, unplug it and store it in a dry, dust-free location.
