Setup

Battery Installation/Replacement

The SpyX Micro Voice Disguise & Recording Toy comes with 3 LR44 button cell batteries pre-installed. If the device does not power on or performance degrades, batteries may need replacement.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the device. This is typically secured with a small screw.
  2. Using a small Phillips head screwdriver, carefully loosen the screw and open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Remove the old LR44 batteries and dispose of them properly.
  4. Insert three new LR44 button cell batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  5. Replace the battery compartment cover and tighten the screw securely. Do not overtighten.

Recording a Message

The device can record up to 10 seconds of audio.

  1. Locate the Record button (top red button).
  2. Press and hold the Record button. Speak clearly into the microphone located on the front of the device.
  3. Release the Record button when you have finished your message or after 10 seconds.

Playing Back a Message

  1. Locate the Play button (bottom red button).
  2. Press the Play button to listen to your recorded message.

Disguising Your Voice

The device features a slider to modify the playback of your recorded message.

  1. After recording a message, locate the Disguise Slide on the side of the device.
  2. Move the slider up or down to select different voice effects (e.g., fast, slow, high-pitched, low-pitched).
  3. Press the Play button to hear your message with the selected voice disguise. Experiment with different slider positions for various effects.

Cleaning

    Adjust the 'Disguise Slide' to a different position. If the issue persists, try re-recording the message.
