Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective operation and maintenance of your Liftmaster 3 Ton SUV High Lift Floor Trolley Jack. This high-lift jack is specifically designed for use with SUVs, vans, pickups, and other vehicles with raised chassis. It may not be suitable for regular sedans or smaller cars due to its high lift design. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product to ensure proper handling and to prevent injury or damage.
Safety Information
Always prioritize safety when operating lifting equipment. Failure to follow these instructions can result in serious injury or property damage.
- Read the Entire Manual: Understand all warnings, cautions, and operating procedures before use.
- Use on Hard, Level Surface: Always operate the jack on a hard, level surface capable of supporting the load. Avoid soft ground or inclines.
- Use Jack Stands: After lifting the vehicle to the desired height, immediately support it with appropriately rated jack stands. Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack.
- Do Not Exceed Rated Capacity: The maximum load capacity for this jack is 3 tons. Do not attempt to lift loads exceeding this limit.
- Center the Load: Ensure the load is centered on the jack saddle to prevent slippage.
- Keep Clear: Keep hands, feet, and other body parts clear of moving parts and the vehicle during lifting and lowering operations.
- Inspect Before Use: Before each use, inspect the jack for any signs of damage, leaks, or wear. Do not use if damaged.
- Proper Lifting Points: Always lift vehicles only at the manufacturer's recommended lifting points. Refer to your vehicle's owner's manual.
- Lower Slowly: Lower the vehicle slowly and in a controlled manner.
- Store Properly: Store the jack in a clean, dry place when not in use.
Components
Familiarize yourself with the main components of your Liftmaster Floor Jack:
- Saddle: The contact point that supports the vehicle. This model features an adjustable saddle.
- Lifting Arm: The main arm that raises and lowers.
- Handle: Used for pumping the jack to lift and for controlling the release valve to lower.
- Release Valve: Controls the lowering speed of the jack.
- Wheels: For easy maneuverability.
- Hydraulic Cylinder: Contains the hydraulic fluid responsible for lifting.

Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the jack and all components from the packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
- Handle Assembly: Insert the handle into the handle socket on the jack. Ensure it is securely seated.
- Purging Air (Bleeding): Before first use, or if the jack has been stored for a long time, it may be necessary to purge air from the hydraulic system.
- Turn the release valve counter-clockwise to fully open it.
- Pump the handle rapidly 10-15 times without a load.
- Close the release valve by turning it clockwise.
- Test the jack by lifting it to its full height and then lowering it. Repeat if necessary until operation is smooth.
Operating Instructions
Lifting a Vehicle:
- Prepare the Vehicle: Park the vehicle on a hard, level surface. Engage the parking brake and place the transmission in "Park" (automatic) or in gear (manual). Block the wheels that will remain on the ground.
- Position the Jack: Locate the vehicle manufacturer's recommended lifting point. Position the jack so the saddle is directly under this point. Ensure the jack is stable.
- Close Release Valve: Turn the release valve clockwise until it is fully closed. Do not overtighten.
- Lift the Vehicle: Pump the handle up and down to raise the jack. Continue pumping until the vehicle is lifted to the desired height.
- Secure with Jack Stands: Immediately place appropriately rated jack stands under the vehicle's designated support points. Slowly lower the vehicle onto the jack stands by gradually turning the release valve counter-clockwise. Once the vehicle is resting securely on the jack stands, the floor jack can be removed.
Lowering a Vehicle:
- Raise Slightly: If the vehicle is on jack stands, position the jack under the lifting point again and pump the handle a few times to slightly raise the vehicle off the jack stands.
- Remove Jack Stands: Carefully remove the jack stands from under the vehicle.
- Lower Vehicle: Slowly and gradually turn the release valve counter-clockwise. The vehicle will begin to descend. Control the rate of descent by adjusting how much you open the valve.
- Remove Jack: Once the vehicle is fully on the ground, remove the jack.
Maintenance
- Hydraulic Fluid Level: Periodically check the hydraulic fluid level. To do this, ensure the jack is fully lowered and on a level surface. Remove the oil filler plug. The fluid level should be just below the filler hole. Use only high-quality hydraulic jack oil. Do not use brake fluid or motor oil.
- Lubrication: Lubricate all moving parts and pivot points with light machine oil periodically.
- Cleaning: Keep the jack clean and free of dirt, grease, and debris.
- Storage: Store the jack in a fully lowered position in a clean, dry area to prevent rust and damage.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect for bent, cracked, or otherwise damaged components. Pay close attention to welds, wheels, and the hydraulic cylinder. If damage is found, do not use the jack and have it repaired by qualified personnel.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Jack will not lift load or lifts slowly. | Low hydraulic fluid level; Air in system; Release valve open. | Check and refill fluid; Purge air from system (see Setup); Close release valve fully. |
| Jack lowers under load. | Release valve not fully closed; Internal seal leakage; Overload. | Ensure valve is tight; Have jack serviced by professional; Do not exceed capacity. |
| Jack does not lower completely. | Air in system; Obstruction. | Purge air from system; Check for obstructions and remove. |
