2. Compatibility

This product is compatible with the following Kawasaki motorcycle models:

  • Kawasaki Ninja 250 (1988-2009)
  • Kawasaki Ninja ZZR600 (2005-2010)

Note: It is crucial to verify the plug type and mounting dimensions before purchase and installation, as some models or aftermarket modifications may require splicing or drilling for proper fitment.

3. Features

  • Color: Carbon Look Body with Clear Lens
  • Wiring: Two Wires
  • Bulb Type: 23 watts, Amber Bulbs
  • Waterproof: Designed with waterproof features for exterior use.
  • Package Content: 1 Pair of Indicators (2 PCS)

4. Setup and Installation

Installation of these turn signals requires basic mechanical knowledge and tools. While designed for specific models, some modifications may be necessary.

4.1. Pre-Installation Checklist

  • Ensure the motorcycle's ignition is off and the battery is disconnected.
  • Gather necessary tools: screwdrivers, wire strippers, crimpers, electrical tape or heat shrink tubing, and potentially a drill.
  • Compare the new turn signals with the existing ones to confirm size and wiring compatibility.

4.2. Installation Steps

  1. Remove Old Turn Signals: Carefully unbolt and disconnect the wiring from the existing turn signals. Note the wiring configuration.
  2. Prepare Wiring: The new turn signals feature two wires. If the motorcycle's existing connector does not match, you may need to cut the old connector from the factory turn signals and splice it onto the new turn signal wires. Ensure proper polarity (positive to positive, negative to negative).
  3. Mount New Turn Signals: Secure the new turn signals in the desired position. If the factory holes do not align, it may be necessary to drill new mounting holes in the fairings. Use the included nuts and consider applying thread locker for added security.
  4. Connect Wiring: Connect the spliced wires securely. Use electrical tape or heat shrink tubing to insulate all connections.
  5. Test Functionality: Reconnect the motorcycle battery. Turn on the ignition and test both turn signals to ensure they illuminate and flash correctly.

Important: If the turn signals flash too quickly or too slowly, a load resistor or flasher relay may be required (not included) to correct the flash rate.

5. Operation

Once installed, these turn signals operate like standard motorcycle indicators. Activate them using your motorcycle's turn signal switch to signal turns or lane changes.

  • Left Turn: Move the turn signal switch to the left. The left turn signal will flash.
  • Right Turn: Move the turn signal switch to the right. The right turn signal will flash.
  • Cancel: Push the switch in or return it to the center position to cancel the signal, depending on your motorcycle's specific switch mechanism.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and proper function of your turn signals.

  • Cleaning: Clean the lenses and housing periodically with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Bulb Replacement: If a bulb burns out, replace it with a new 23-watt amber bulb. Access the bulb by carefully removing the lens cover.
  • Wiring Inspection: Periodically check wiring connections for corrosion or damage. Ensure all connections remain secure and insulated.
  • Mounting Security: Verify that the turn signals are securely mounted and not loose. Tighten any loose fasteners as needed.
