Operating Instructions
- Connect LP Tank: Ensure the propane tank is securely connected to the regulator hose inside the fire pit's base.
- Open Gas Valve: Slowly open the valve on the LP tank.
- Ignite Burner: Locate the control knob on the hidden panel. Push the knob in and turn it counter-clockwise to the 'HIGH' position. While holding the knob in, press the electronic igniter button repeatedly until the burner ignites.
- Adjust Flame: Once lit, continue to hold the knob in for approximately 10-15 seconds to allow the thermocouple to heat up. Release the knob. If the flame goes out, repeat the ignition process. Adjust the flame height by turning the control knob between 'LOW' and 'HIGH'.
- Turn Off: To turn off the fire pit, turn the control knob clockwise to the 'OFF' position. Close the valve on the LP tank.
Note: When using a new propane tank, it may take several attempts for the gas to purge air from the line and ignite.
Maintenance and Care
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the exterior surfaces with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Lava Rock Care: Ensure lava rocks are clean and free of debris. Replace if they become excessively worn or damaged.
- Covering: Always use a protective cover when the fire pit is not in use, especially during inclement weather or off-season storage. Ensure the unit is completely cool before covering.
- Winter Storage: If storing indoors, disconnect the LP tank and store it outdoors in a well-ventilated area.
