Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and components from the box.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the glass jug and filter holder in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth.
- First Brew Cycle (without coffee): Fill the water tank to the 'max' mark with fresh cold water. Place the empty filter holder and glass jug in position. Plug the machine into a suitable power outlet and switch it on. Allow the full cycle to complete. Discard the water. This cleans the internal components.
- Placement: Place the coffee machine on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, away from water sources and direct heat.
Operating Instructions
- Fill Water Tank: Open the lid and fill the transparent water tank with fresh, cold water up to the desired level (e.g., '2' for two cups). The water level markers are visible on the side of the tank. Close the lid securely.
- Insert Filter and Coffee: Place a Melitta filter paper (size 100 or similar small cone filter) into the removable filter holder. Add the desired amount of ground coffee into the filter. A general guideline is one level tablespoon of coffee per cup.
- Position Jug: Ensure the glass jug is correctly placed on the heating plate beneath the filter holder.
- Start Brewing: Plug the machine into a power outlet. Press the "AUTO OFF" switch to the "ON" position. The indicator light will illuminate, and the brewing process will begin.
- Automatic Shut-Off: The machine will automatically switch off approximately 40 minutes after the brewing cycle is complete to save energy. You can also manually switch it off at any time.
- Serve: Once brewing is complete, carefully remove the glass jug and pour your coffee.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your coffee machine.
- Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the machine from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Wash Removable Parts: The glass jug and removable filter holder are dishwasher safe. Alternatively, wash them by hand in warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces of the coffee machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Never immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
- Descaling: Depending on water hardness and frequency of use, descaling may be necessary every 3-6 months. Use a commercially available descaling agent suitable for coffee machines and follow the manufacturer's instructions. Run several cycles with clear water after descaling to rinse thoroughly.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Machine does not turn on. | Not plugged in; power switch off; power outage. | Ensure plug is securely in outlet; press power switch to ON; check household circuit breaker. |
| Coffee does not brew or brews slowly. | Water tank empty; filter clogged; machine needs descaling. | Fill water tank; replace filter paper; descale the machine. |
| Coffee overflows from filter. | Too much coffee grounds; filter paper not correctly placed; fine grind coffee. | Reduce coffee amount; ensure filter paper is seated properly; use a medium grind. |
| Coffee tastes weak. | Not enough coffee grounds; water tank overfilled. | Increase coffee amount; ensure water level matches desired cups. |
| Automatic shut-off not working (in some regions). | Voltage differences in certain regions (e.g., USA vs. Europe) can affect the auto-shutoff mechanism. | This is a known characteristic for some units in specific regions. Manually switch off the machine after brewing. |
