Assembling the Legs
Unfold the main unit and extend the attached legs. The spring-loaded knobs will lock the legs into place.
Insert the adjustable leg extensions into the main legs. Use the thumb screws to secure them at your desired height. The notches on the leg extensions allow for precise height adjustments to ensure a level cooking surface.
Attaching Cooking Surfaces
Place the grill box onto one side of the main unit, ensuring it sits securely over the burner.
Place the griddle plate onto the other side of the main unit, ensuring it sits securely over the second burner.
Attach the grease trays to the designated slots on either side of the unit. These trays are designed to collect grease and are easily removable for cleaning.

Connect a standard 20 lb propane tank (not included) to the regulator hose on the side of the unit. Ensure all connections are tight and leak-free before proceeding.
Ignition
The unit features an electronic ignition system. Insert one AA battery (not included) into the igniter button. To light a burner, turn the control knob to the 'ON' position while simultaneously pressing the igniter button until the burner ignites. Repeat for the second burner if needed.
Versatile Cooking Options
The Tailgater Combo offers 35,000 BTUs of heat from its two independently controlled burners. You can use the grill box and griddle simultaneously, or remove either to use the open burners for pots and pans. Maintenance
Griddle Seasoning
The griddle top requires seasoning before first use and periodic re-seasoning to maintain its non-stick properties and prevent rust. Refer to the included 'Griddle Top Seasoning Instructions' manual for detailed steps.
Cleaning
After each use, allow the unit to cool. Scrape off any food residue from the griddle and grill grates. Empty and clean the grease trays regularly. Wipe down the surfaces with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use a mild soap and water solution.
Troubleshooting
Burner not igniting: Check if the propane tank is open and has fuel. Ensure the igniter battery is correctly installed. Clean any debris from the burner ports.
Uneven heat: Ensure the unit is level using the adjustable legs. Clean burners and cooking surfaces to remove any blockages.
Gas leaks: If you smell gas, immediately turn off the propane tank. Check all connections for tightness. Apply a soapy water solution to connections; bubbles indicate a leak. Do not use the unit if a leak is detected.
