Introduction
The Kitchen Safe Time Locking Container is designed to assist in developing better habits by temporarily securing items. This medium-sized container features a programmable timer that locks the contents until the set time expires, providing an external aid for self-control.

Setup
- Unpack the Container: Carefully remove the Kitchen Safe from its packaging. Ensure all components, including the lid with the timer and the clear base, are present and undamaged.
- Install Batteries: The device requires 2 AA batteries (included). Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the lid. Insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
- Initial Power-On: The digital display on the lid should activate, showing '0 Days 00 Hrs 00 Min 00 Sec'.
Operating Instructions
1. Placing Items Inside
Lift the lid from the clear base. Place the items you wish to secure inside the container. The medium size is suitable for items up to 5.25" x 6.75" (133mm x 171mm), such as cell phones, game controllers, TV remotes, snacks, or other small personal items.

2. Setting the Timer
- Place the lid securely onto the base.
- Rotate the central dial on the lid to adjust the desired lock duration. You can set the timer from 1 minute up to 10 days. The display will show the selected time in Days, Hours, Minutes, and Seconds.
- Once the desired time is displayed, press the central dial down firmly to activate the lock.
- A 5-second countdown will appear on the display. During this period, you can press the dial again to cancel the locking process. If not canceled, the container will lock automatically after 5 seconds.

3. Locking Mechanism
Once the timer is set and activated, the locking tabs on the lid will engage with the base, preventing the lid from being removed. The display will show a padlock icon and the remaining time. There is no override mechanism to open the container before the timer reaches zero.

4. Unlocking
The container will automatically unlock when the timer counts down to zero. The locking tabs will retract, allowing the lid to be removed. An audible signal may indicate successful unlocking.
5. Adding Time
If you wish to extend the lock duration after the timer has been set, you can rotate the dial again and press it to add more time. This action can only increase the remaining time, not decrease it.
6. Charging Access
The container features an access port for charging cables, allowing electronic devices to be charged while locked inside.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the container with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the lid in water or use abrasive cleaners, as this may damage the electronic components. The clear base can be hand-washed with mild soap and water.
- Battery Replacement: Replace the AA batteries when the display becomes dim or unresponsive. The timer will pause if batteries are removed while locked, but the container will remain locked until the original set time expires.
- Storage: Store the Kitchen Safe in a cool, dry place when not in use.
Troubleshooting
- Container does not lock: Ensure the lid is properly seated on the base and the central dial is pressed firmly after setting the time. Check battery levels.
- Timer display is blank: Replace the AA batteries. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
- Lid does not open after timer expires: Ensure the timer has fully reached '0 Days 00 Hrs 00 Min 00 Sec'. If it remains stuck, gently try to lift the lid. If it still does not open, contact customer support.
- Accidental Lock: If the container is locked accidentally and immediate access is required, the base can be broken. However, this will require purchasing a replacement base.
