- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport if desired.
- Inspect: Check the clipper and all accessories for any signs of damage. Do not use if any part is damaged.
- Initial Oiling: Before first use, apply a few drops of the provided lubricating oil to the blades. Turn the clipper on for a few seconds to distribute the oil. Wipe off any excess oil.
- Attach Guide Comb: Select the desired guide comb for your preferred hair length. Align the comb with the clipper blade and press firmly until it clicks securely into place. Ensure it is properly seated before use.
Operating Instructions
General Haircutting Tips:
- Ensure hair is clean and dry before cutting.
- Always start with a longer guide comb than you think you need. You can always cut more hair off, but you cannot put it back on.
- Cut against the direction of hair growth for an even cut.
- Use smooth, overlapping strokes.
- Regularly tap or brush hair clippings from the blades during use to maintain cutting efficiency.
Using the Clipper:
- Prepare: Drape a cape or towel around the person's neck to catch hair clippings.
- Select Comb: Attach the appropriate guide comb for the desired hair length.
- Power On: Plug the clipper into a suitable electrical outlet. Turn the clipper ON using the power switch.
- Cut Hair: Hold the clipper with the blades pointing upwards and the guide comb flat against the head. Move the clipper slowly through the hair, working from the bottom upwards.
- Detailing: For outlining and detailing around the ears and neckline, remove the guide comb and use the bare blades carefully.
- Power Off: Once finished, turn the clipper OFF and unplug it from the outlet.
Maintenance
Cleaning After Each Use:
- Unplug: Always ensure the clipper is turned OFF and unplugged before cleaning.
- Remove Comb: Detach any guide comb from the clipper.
- Brush Blades: Use the provided cleaning brush to remove loose hairs from the blades and the clipper housing.
- Oil Blades: Apply 1-2 drops of lubricating oil to the blades. Turn the clipper on for a few seconds to allow the oil to spread. Wipe off any excess oil with a soft cloth. This helps maintain blade sharpness and prevents rust.
Storage:
Store the clipper and all accessories in the provided storage case in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children.
Troubleshooting
- Clipper does not turn on:
- Ensure the clipper is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
- Check the power switch is in the 'ON' position.
- Clipper pulls hair or does not cut effectively:
- The blades may be dull or dirty. Clean the blades thoroughly with the brush and apply lubricating oil.
- Ensure you are cutting against the direction of hair growth.
- Hair may be too thick or wet. Ensure hair is dry and comb through to remove tangles before cutting.
- The guide comb might be clogged with hair. Remove and clean it.
- The clipper may require professional servicing if the issue persists after cleaning and oiling.
- Excessive noise or vibration:
- Ensure the blades are properly aligned and secured.
- Apply lubricating oil to the blades.
- If the noise persists, the internal mechanism may require inspection by a qualified service technician.
