The iCarsoft I980 is a versatile diagnostic scanner and tester engineered specifically for Mercedes-Benz vehicles. This device allows users to read and clear diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) from primary vehicle systems, including SRS airbags, ABS anti-lock brakes, engine, and transmission modules. It also provides real-time live data readings for comprehensive vehicle analysis.
Designed for ease of use, the I980 is a standalone unit featuring a large, easy-to-read 2.8-inch color display and a user-friendly interface. It requires no additional software for basic operation. Additionally, the scanner includes full OBD-II capabilities, enabling it to scan engine readings and related trouble codes (Check Engine Light) on any 1996 and newer OBD-II compliant vehicle makes and models.
Please note: This scanner does not support Mercedes chassis numbers 107, 124, 126, 129, 140, 201, 202, 208, 210, 461, and 463.

4. Setup Instructions
- Locate OBD-II Port: The OBD-II port is typically located under the dashboard on the driver's side. For most Mercedes-Benz vehicles, there is a hinged cover over the port that needs to be opened.
- Connect Scanner: Plug the diagnostic cable from the iCarsoft I980 scanner firmly into the vehicle's OBD-II port.
- Power On: The scanner will power on automatically once connected to the vehicle's OBD-II port. A green indicator light will illuminate, and the device will boot up.
