- Prepare the Game Grid: Place the gray game grid on a flat, stable surface. The grid has square slots where the towers will be placed.
How to Play
Gravity Maze is a single-player logic game that challenges your spatial reasoning and problem-solving skills. Follow these steps to play:

Figure 3: Visual guide to playing Gravity Maze.
- Select a Challenge Card: Choose a challenge card from the deck. The cards are color-coded by difficulty: Beginner (green), Intermediate (orange), Advanced (blue), and Expert (red).
- Set Up the Starting Towers: Each challenge card shows a diagram of the game grid with pre-placed towers. Position these towers on your game grid exactly as shown on the card. Pay attention to the orientation of the towers, indicated by small dots on the card matching dots on the towers.
- Identify Required Towers: The challenge card will also indicate which additional towers you need to use to complete the maze. These are typically shown as colored squares at the bottom of the card.
- Build the Path: Your goal is to arrange the remaining towers on the grid to create a continuous path for a marble to travel from the starting tower (usually indicated by a white dot on the card) to the target piece (the red cube). The marble must pass through all the specified towers.
- Test Your Solution: Once you believe you have built a correct path, drop a marble into the starting tower. Observe if it successfully travels through the maze and lands in the target piece.
- Check Solution (if stuck): If the marble does not reach the target, re-evaluate your tower placement and orientation. If you are still stuck, the solution for each challenge is provided on the back of its respective card.
The game encourages experimentation and logical deduction. As you progress through the challenge levels, the puzzles become increasingly complex, requiring more strategic thinking.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the game grid and plastic towers with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
- Storage: Store all game components in their original box to prevent loss or damage. Keep the game in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Handling: Handle the towers and marbles with care to prevent scratches or breakage.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Marble does not reach the target. | Incorrect tower placement or orientation. | Double-check the challenge card diagram. Ensure towers are placed in the correct grid slots and their internal pathways are aligned as required. Refer to the solution on the back of the card if necessary. |
| Towers do not fit securely into the grid. | Incorrect alignment or debris in the slot. | Ensure the tower's base is correctly aligned with the grid slot. Check for any small debris in the slot and remove it. |
| Missing components. | Components misplaced or lost during play/storage. | Thoroughly check the play area and storage box. Contact ThinkFun customer support if components are genuinely missing. |
