Installation Guide

Follow these steps for proper installation of your Dinuy Bell Bison 2000 door chime unit. Ensure power is OFF before beginning.

1. Wiring Diagram

Refer to the "Esquema de conexión" section in Figure 3. Connect the neutral (N) and live (L) wires to the corresponding terminals on the chime unit. The doorbell button connects between the live wire and the chime's input terminal (often marked with a bell symbol or 'T').

2. Opening the Cover

As shown in the "Abrir la tapa" section of Figure 3:

  1. Insert a flat-head screwdriver into the designated slot (1-Insert).
  2. Gently pry upwards (2-Levantar) to release the cover from the base.

3. Quick Terminal Connection (Embornado rápido en 2 pasos)

The unit features quick-connect terminals for easy wiring:

  1. To insert wires: Press down on the tab (indicated by "Para insertar los hilos hay que presionar las pestañas" in Figure 3). Insert the stripped wire (0.5-1.5mm² recommended, stripped length 10-15mm) into the terminal.
  2. To secure wires: Release the tab (indicated by "Para fijar los hilos hay que dejar de presionar las pestañas" in Figure 3). The wire will be securely held.

4. Mounting the Unit

The unit can be mounted in two ways, as shown in the "Instalación" section of Figure 3:

  • For universal flush-mount box installation: Use the yellow-marked holes.
  • For surface installation: Use the red-marked holes.

Secure the base of the unit to the wall or mounting box using appropriate screws (not included). Once the wiring is complete and the base is secured, snap the cover back into place.

Operating Instructions

Once properly installed and powered, the Dinuy Bell Bison 2000 operates automatically.

  • Ensure the power supply to the chime unit is turned ON.
  • When the connected doorbell button is pressed, the chime unit will produce its characteristic two-note sound.
  • Release the doorbell button to stop the chime sound.

Maintenance

The Dinuy Bell Bison 2000 is designed for minimal maintenance.

  • Cleaning: To clean the exterior of the unit, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or excessive moisture.
