3. Operation

The DigiTech Whammy DT offers a wide range of pitch shifting and drop tuning effects. Familiarize yourself with the controls to unlock its full potential.

3.1 Whammy Effects

The Whammy section allows for classic pitch bends using the expression pedal. Rotate the WHAMMY knob to select different intervals, such as Octave Up, 2 Octave Up, or Dive Bomb. Engage the effect by pressing the WHAMMY footswitch.

3.2 Drop Tuning Effects

The Drop Tune section enables instant pitch shifting of your entire guitar. Use the SHIFT UP and SHIFT DOWN knobs to select the desired interval, from 7 half steps up/down to a full octave. Activate the effect by pressing the DROP TUNE footswitch.

3.3 Harmony Effects

The Harmony section adds intelligent harmonies to your guitar signal. Select various harmony intervals using the HARMONY knob, such as Octave Up/Down, 5th Up, or 3rd Up.

3.4 Detune Effects

The Detune section provides subtle chorus-like effects by slightly detuning the signal. Adjust the depth from SHALLOW to DEEP using the dedicated knob.

3.5 Momentary Footswitch

The MOMENTARY footswitch allows for instant "hammer-on" and "pull-off" effects. Press and hold the footswitch to momentarily engage the selected Drop Tune effect, and release to return to the original pitch. This is ideal for quick shifts during solos or riffs.
