5. Setup and Installation

Before installation, ensure your vehicle's battery is disconnected. Professional installation is recommended.

5.1 Speaker Placement

Mount the two 3-inch speakers on your vehicle's handlebars using the adjustable brackets and protective rubber inserts. The brackets are designed to fit handlebars ranging from 0.75" to 1.25" in diameter. Ensure speakers are securely fastened and do not obstruct controls or visibility.

5.2 Amplifier Installation

The compact Class D amplifier should be mounted in a secure, dry location, away from direct heat and moisture. Connect the speaker wires to the amplifier outputs. The amplifier is weatherproof, but protecting it from direct water spray is advisable.

5.3 Wiring Connections

  1. Power Connection: Connect the red power wire from the amplifier to the vehicle's 12V battery (positive terminal). It is recommended to use an in-line fuse (not included) for protection.

To power on the system, rotate the in-line volume control knob clockwise. To power off, rotate it counter-clockwise until it clicks.

6.2 Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Ensure the MC420B system is powered on.
  2. On your smartphone or MP3 device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "BOSS Audio MC420B" from the list of devices.
  4. Once paired, you will hear an audible confirmation, and the Bluetooth indicator light on the amplifier will illuminate.
  5. You can now stream audio wirelessly from your device.

For devices without Bluetooth, connect them to the 3.5mm Auxiliary input located on the side of the amplifier using a standard 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
