5. Setup and Installation
Before installation, ensure your vehicle's battery is disconnected. Professional installation is recommended.
5.1 Speaker Placement
Mount the two 3-inch speakers on your vehicle's handlebars using the adjustable brackets and protective rubber inserts. The brackets are designed to fit handlebars ranging from 0.75" to 1.25" in diameter. Ensure speakers are securely fastened and do not obstruct controls or visibility.

5.3 Wiring Connections
- Power Connection: Connect the red power wire from the amplifier to the vehicle's 12V battery (positive terminal). It is recommended to use an in-line fuse (not included) for protection.
- Ground Connection: Connect the black ground wire from the amplifier to a suitable chassis ground point on the vehicle.
- Speaker Connections: Connect the speaker wires from the speakers to the corresponding outputs on the amplifier. Ensure correct polarity.
- Volume Control: Install the in-line volume control in an easily accessible location on your handlebars. This also functions as the power switch for the system.
Note: Some users prefer to wire the power to an ignition-switched source to prevent battery drain when the vehicle is off. If wired directly to the battery, remember to turn off the system using the in-line volume control.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Powering On/Off
To power on the system, rotate the in-line volume control knob clockwise. To power off, rotate it counter-clockwise until it clicks.
6.2 Bluetooth Pairing
- Ensure the MC420B system is powered on.
- On your smartphone or MP3 device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "BOSS Audio MC420B" from the list of devices.
- Once paired, you will hear an audible confirmation, and the Bluetooth indicator light on the amplifier will illuminate.
- You can now stream audio wirelessly from your device.

7. Maintenance
- Regularly inspect all wiring connections for tightness and signs of wear or corrosion.
- Clean the speakers and amplifier with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- While weatherproof, it is advisable to cover the system during prolonged periods of heavy rain or extreme weather conditions to extend its lifespan.
