Important Safety Precautions

Installation Precautions

Environmental Care

Dispose of the product responsibly at the end of its life according to local laws for electronic waste to help preserve the environment.

Mounting

Refer to "Installation Precautions" on page 2. Ensure connection cables are kept away from pinch points, moving parts, and hot exhausts. Do not install speakers where they might obstruct the rider's view or safety features (lights, horns, brake levers, etc.). Carefully investigate the vehicle's layout before drilling, paying special attention to fuel tanks, lines, hydraulics, and wiring. Always check mounting security before each ride.

Mounting the Speaker Pods

  1. Find a safe and ideal mounting location on the handlebar, ensuring speakers do not obstruct the rider's view or safety features.
  2. The supplied clamp is pre-attached to the speaker bottom. Unfasten the clamp using the mounting nuts.
  3. Fit the clamp around the vehicle's handlebar. Attach the supplied rubber shims over the mounting bar to secure clamping and prevent abrasion.
  4. Re-fasten the mounting nuts to tighten the clamp. Adjust the speaker to point directly at the rider before fully tightening.

Diagram Description: The illustration shows a speaker clamp (labeled 'c') attached to a mounting bar (labeled 'd') with a mounting nut (labeled 'a') and a rubber shim (labeled 'b') positioned between them. The mounting bar is specified to be between 0.75 and 1.25 inches in diameter.

Mounting the Amplifier

Secure the power amplifier in the vehicle using the supplied screws. Ensure sufficient air circulation around the mounting location.

  1. Find a suitable location for the amplifier.
  2. Secure the amplifier:
    1. Use the four screw holes on the amplifier to mark mounting holes on the surface.
    2. Drill the mounting holes.
    3. Position the amplifier and attach it using the four supplied screws, spring washers, and plain washers.

Diagram Description: A diagram illustrates a rectangular amplifier with four screw holes on its top surface. It shows the process of marking mounting holes on a surface, drilling them, and then attaching the amplifier using screws and washers.

Mounting the Power/Volume Knob

Mount the power/volume knob in a safe, easily accessible location that does not impede the rider's ability to drive safely. Secure it using the supplied zip tie.

Wiring

Refer to "Installation Precautions" on page 2. For safety, disconnect the vehicle battery's negative terminal before wiring. Keep cables away from pinch points, moving parts, and hot exhausts. Secure connected cables. Reconnect the battery's negative terminal only after all connections are correctly and securely made.

Power Source Connection

Option 1: Direct Connection to Vehicle Battery

Note: Direct connection to the battery consumes power. Always use the inline power/volume knob to cut battery power when speakers are not in use.

  1. Using the supplied power cable harness, connect the black cable ("GROUND") to the vehicle's metal frame or the negative battery terminal, and the red cable ("+12V") to the positive battery terminal.
  2. Connect the power cable harness to the "POWER" connector attached to the amplifier.

Option 2: Connection to Ignition Switch

Connecting to the vehicle's ignition switch allows the speakers to power on/off automatically with the ignition.

  1. Locate and identify two power wires in the ignition switch: one for switched +12V and one for negative/ground.
  2. Using the supplied power cable harness, connect the black cable ("GROUND") to the accessory power's negative/ground wire and the red cable ("+12V") to the accessory power's switched +12V wire. Insulate connections with electrical tape.
  3. Connect the power cable harness to the "POWER" connector attached to the amplifier.

Wiring Overview

Diagram Description: The wiring diagram shows the amplifier unit with connections for Bluetooth, Power/Volume knob, and 3.5mm audio input. It details the power connection, including a 7.5A fuse, linking to the vehicle's battery (positive and negative terminals) and metal frame. Connections for the power/volume knob and speaker cables are also illustrated.
