  • PIR ON/OFF with Light: In this mode, the device activates its ultrasonic emissions and the night flash LED when motion is detected by the Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor. The night flash LED is controlled by a twilight switch, activating only in low light conditions.

Select the desired mode based on your specific deterrence needs. The integrated interval emission prevents animals from becoming accustomed to the sound.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the device periodically with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure the solar panel is kept clean for efficient charging.
  • Battery Care: The device uses rechargeable AA Mignon batteries. If the device's performance diminishes, ensure it receives adequate sunlight for charging or recharge it via USB. Replace batteries only with equivalent rechargeable AA Mignon batteries if necessary.
  • Storage: When storing the device for extended periods, ensure it is fully charged and stored in a cool, dry place.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Device not turning on or operating intermittently.Low battery charge. Insufficient sunlight for solar charging.Charge the device via USB for 12 hours. Relocate the device to an area with more direct sunlight.
Animals are not deterred.Device placement is ineffective. Animals may be accustomed to a constant frequency (less likely due to interval emission).Adjust the device's position to ensure the target area is within the 10m effective range. Ensure no obstructions block the ultrasonic emissions. Try switching between continuous and PIR modes.
Night flash LED not working.Twilight switch not activated (too much ambient light). Device not in PIR mode.Ensure the device is in PIR mode. Test in a darker environment.
