2. Important Safety Instructions
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons. Read all instructions before using this appliance.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Brewing Coffee
- Ensure a full water bottle is securely placed on the brewer.
- Place a clean, empty glass carafe on the warming plate beneath the brew basket.
- Insert a paper filter into the brew basket.
- Add the desired amount of ground coffee into the filter. Refer to coffee packaging for recommended ratios.
- Slide the brew basket securely into its position.
- Turn the brewer ON. The "Ready" light will illuminate when the water has reached the optimal brewing temperature.
- Initiate the brew cycle according to the brewer's controls (specific button or switch may vary, refer to unit labels).
- Allow the brewing cycle to complete. The coffee will drip into the carafe.
- Once brewing is complete, carefully remove the carafe and serve. The warming plate will keep the coffee hot.
4.2 Using the Hot Water Faucet
The Newco KB-3F features a convenient hot water faucet for other hot beverages or instant foods.
- Ensure the brewer is powered ON and the "Ready" light is illuminated, indicating the water is hot.
- Place a cup or mug under the hot water faucet.
- Carefully press or lift the faucet lever to dispense hot water. Exercise caution as the water is very hot.
- Release the lever to stop the flow of water.
5. Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Newco KB-3F brewer.
- Daily Cleaning:
- Unplug the brewer and allow it to cool completely.
- Wash the glass carafes and brew basket with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Wipe down the exterior surfaces of the brewer with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Descaling (Monthly or as needed): Mineral deposits from water can build up over time, affecting performance.
- Empty the water bottle and fill it with a descaling solution (e.g., white vinegar mixed with water, or a commercial descaling agent according to its instructions).
- Run several brew cycles with the descaling solution until the water bottle is empty.
- After descaling, rinse the water bottle and fill it with fresh water. Run at least three full cycles with fresh water to flush out any remaining descaling solution.
- Water Bottle Area: Periodically clean the area where the water bottle sits to prevent mold or mildew growth.
