Device Overview

• Power Button: Press and hold to turn the device on or off.
• Power/Battery LED: Indicates power status and battery charge level.
• Wi-Fi LED: Indicates Wi-Fi network status.

• Power Input: For connecting the power adapter to charge the device.

Setup

1. Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge your LaCie Fuel device. Connect the power adapter to the device's power input and plug it into a wall outlet. The Power/Battery LED will indicate charging status.

2. Connecting to a Computer (USB 3.0)

1. Connect one end of the USB 3.0 cable to the LaCie Fuel's USB 3.0 port.
2. Connect the other end of the USB 3.0 cable to an available USB port on your computer.
3. The LaCie Fuel will appear as an external drive on your computer, allowing you to drag and drop files for initial loading.

3. Installing the Seagate Media App

To access and manage content wirelessly from your mobile device, download and install the Seagate Media app from your device's app store (e.g., Apple App Store for iOS devices).

4. Connecting to Wi-Fi

1. Press and hold the power button on the LaCie Fuel until the Power/Battery LED illuminates. The Wi-Fi LED will begin to blink.
2. On your mobile device or computer, go to your Wi-Fi settings.
3. Select the LaCie Fuel network from the list of available networks. The network name will typically be "LaCie Fuel" followed by a unique identifier.
4. Once connected, open the Seagate Media app or a web browser (and navigate to the device's IP address, usually 192.168.x.x or a specific URL provided in the quick start guide) to access your files.

Operating Instructions

Transferring Files

• Via USB: Connect the LaCie Fuel to your computer using the USB 3.0 cable. Drag and drop files directly to the drive as you would with any external hard drive.
• Wirelessly (via Seagate Media App): Once connected to the LaCie Fuel's Wi-Fi network, open the Seagate Media app. The app allows you to browse files on the LaCie Fuel, upload files from your mobile device to the Fuel, and download files from the Fuel to your mobile device.

Streaming Content

The LaCie Fuel allows up to 5 devices to stream different content simultaneously. Ensure your devices are connected to the LaCie Fuel's Wi-Fi network.

• Using the Seagate Media App: Browse to the desired media file within the app and tap to play.
• Using AirPlay/Apple TV: For compatible media, you can stream content from the LaCie Fuel to an Apple TV or other AirPlay-enabled devices. Ensure both your mobile device (connected to LaCie Fuel Wi-Fi) and the Apple TV are on the same network (if the LaCie Fuel is configured to pass-through internet, or if the Apple TV is connected directly to the LaCie Fuel's network). Select the AirPlay icon within the Seagate Media app or your device's media player and choose your Apple TV.

Maintenance

• Charging: To maintain optimal battery health, fully charge the device regularly, especially if it will be stored for extended periods.
• Storage: Store the LaCie Fuel in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents.
• Firmware Updates: Periodically check the LaCie support website or the Seagate Media app for available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and compatibility.
