• Do not fill the unit over 2/3 full. When cooking foods that expand during cooking, such as rice or dried vegetables, do not fill the unit over 1/2 full.

Setup and First Use

Before First Use:

1. Unpack: Remove all packaging materials and accessories.
2. Clean: Wash the inner pot, lid, and accessories (sealing gasket, steam rack, measuring cup, spoon) with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. The inner pot and accessories are dishwasher safe.
3. Wipe Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
4. Install Condensation Collector: Slide the condensation collector into the slot on the back of the cooker.
5. Check Sealing Gasket: Ensure the sealing gasket is properly seated around the lid's rim.

Initial Test Run (Water Test):

It is recommended to perform a water test to familiarize yourself with the pressure cooker's operation and ensure it is functioning correctly.

1. Add 3 cups of water to the inner pot.
2. Place the inner pot into the main unit.
3. Close the lid, ensuring it is locked into place. The pressure release valve should be in the "Sealing" position.
4. Plug in the power cord.
5. Select the "Steam" function and set the time to 5 minutes.
6. The cooker will preheat and then begin the cooking cycle. Once complete, allow the pressure to release naturally or use the quick release method (refer to Operating section).
7. Once pressure is fully released, open the lid and carefully remove the inner pot.

Operating Instructions

Control Panel Overview:

The control panel features a digital display and various function buttons for easy operation.

• Digital Display: Shows cooking time, pressure level, and status indicators.
• Preset Buttons: Brown Rice, White Rice, Meat/Stew, Beans, Sauté, Brown, Steamer.
• Manual Button: For custom pressure cooking settings.
• Delay Timer: Sets a delayed start time (up to 12 hours).
• Keep Warm/Cancel: Maintains food temperature or cancels a program.
• +/- Buttons: Adjust cooking time or delay time.

General Cooking Steps:

1. Prepare Ingredients: Place desired ingredients and liquid into the inner pot. Do not exceed the MAX fill line (2/3 full for most foods, 1/2 full for expanding foods like rice/beans).
2. Place Inner Pot: Insert the inner pot into the main unit, ensuring it sits flat.
3. Close Lid: Place the lid on the cooker and turn it clockwise until it locks. Ensure the pressure release valve is in the "Sealing" position.
4. Select Function:
   • Preset Programs: Press the desired preset button (e.g., "White Rice"). The default cooking time will appear.
   • Manual Setting: Press "Manual" and use the "+/-" buttons to set the desired cooking time (up to 99 minutes).
5. Start Cooking: The cooker will automatically begin preheating. Once pressure is built, the float valve will rise, and the cooking countdown will begin.
6. Pressure Release: Once cooking is complete, the cooker will beep and switch to "Keep Warm" mode. You can release pressure using one of two methods:
   • Natural Release: Allow the pressure to dissipate naturally. This can take 10-30 minutes depending on food volume. The float valve will drop when pressure is fully released.
   • Quick Release: Carefully turn the pressure release valve to the "Venting" position. Steam will rapidly escape. Caution: Keep hands and face away from the steam. Only use quick release for recipes that specify it.
7. Open Lid: Once the float valve has dropped, turn the lid counter-clockwise and lift it away from you to avoid residual steam.

Slow Cook Function:

The appliance can also function as a slow cooker for up to 10 hours.

1. Add ingredients to the inner pot.
2. Close the lid (pressure release valve can be in "Venting" or "Sealing" position, but "Venting" is typical for slow cooking).
3. Select the "Slow Cook" function (if available as a dedicated button, otherwise use a low manual setting for extended time).
4. Adjust time using "+/-" buttons.
5. The cooker will maintain a low temperature for the set duration.

Care and Maintenance

Cleaning:

1. Always Unplug: Ensure the cooker is unplugged and completely cooled before cleaning.
2. Inner Pot & Accessories: The stainless steel inner pot, steam rack, measuring cup, and spoon are dishwasher safe. For hand washing, use warm soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge.
3. Lid: Wash the lid with warm soapy water. Remove the sealing gasket and float valve for thorough cleaning. Ensure all parts are dry before reassembling.
4. Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Never immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
5. Condensation Collector: Empty and clean the condensation collector after each use.

Storage:

Store the cooker in a dry place. Ensure all components are clean and dry before storage. You can store the lid inverted on the inner pot to save space.
