3. Component Identification

  • Crown: Located on the right side of the watch case, used for setting time and date.
  • Pushers (A & B): Two buttons located above and below the crown, used for quick adjustment of day and date.
  • Main Dial: Displays hours, minutes, and seconds.
  • Sub-dial (9 o'clock position): 24-hour indicator.
  • Sub-dial (6 o'clock position): Date indicator.
  • Sub-dial (3 o'clock position): Day of the week indicator.

4. Setup

4.1 Setting the Time

  1. Pull the crown out to the second click position. The second hand will stop.
  2. Rotate the crown to move the hour and minute hands to the desired time. Ensure the 24-hour sub-dial also reflects the correct AM/PM period.
  3. Push the crown back in to the normal position. The second hand will resume movement.

4.2 Setting the Date and Day

The date and day indicators change automatically once every 24 hours. If the date changes during the day, it means the time is set for PM instead of AM. Adjust the time accordingly.

  • Quick Adjustment:
Press Pusher A (above crown) to advance the day of the week.
Press Pusher B (below crown) to advance the date.
  • Note: Avoid adjusting the date between 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM, as this may interfere with the automatic date change mechanism. If adjustment is necessary during this period, first advance the time past 1:00 AM, then set the date, and finally reset the time.

4.3 Adjusting the Metal Band

The metal band may require adjustment to fit your wrist comfortably. This typically involves adding or removing links. It is recommended to have this adjustment performed by a qualified jeweler or watch technician to prevent damage to the band or watch.

5. Operation

5.1 Reading Time

The main hour, minute, and second hands indicate the current time in a standard analog format.

5.2 Reading Sub-dials

  • The sub-dial at the 9 o'clock position indicates the current hour in a 24-hour format, synchronizing with the main hour hand.
  • The sub-dial at the 6 o'clock position displays the current date (1-31).
  • The sub-dial at the 3 o'clock position indicates the current day of the week (e.g., SUN, MON, TUE).

6. Maintenance

6.1 Water Resistance

This watch is marked as "WR 50M" (Water Resistant 50 meters). This means it is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming, but not for diving or snorkeling. Avoid operating the crown or pushers while the watch is wet or submerged.

6.2 Battery Replacement

The watch is powered by a lithium metal battery. When the watch stops or its functions become erratic, the battery may need replacement. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and function.

6.3 Cleaning

Wipe the watch case and band periodically with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture. For metal bands, a soft brush with mild soapy water can be used, followed by thorough rinsing and drying. Avoid using chemical cleaners.

6.4 Temperature Avoidance

Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight for prolonged periods, or sudden temperature changes, as this can affect its accuracy and lifespan.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Watch Not Operating

  • Ensure the crown is pushed fully into the normal position.
  • If the watch still does not operate, the battery may be depleted and require replacement.

7.2 Incorrect Time or Date

  • Refer to Section 4.1 and 4.2 to reset the time, date, and day.
  • If the date changes at noon, adjust the time by 12 hours.
