4. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Remove all packaging materials and labels from the appliance.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Wash the removable stoneware and glass lid in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. The base unit can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the base unit in water.
  3. Assembly (iStir System): If using the iStir system, select the appropriate stirring paddle (general purpose or stew) and attach it to the motor housing. Then, attach the motor housing to the glass lid. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  4. Assembly (Classic Lid Handle): If not using the iStir system, attach the classic lid handle to the glass lid.
  5. Placement: Place the base unit on a flat, level, heat-resistant surface, away from walls or other appliances to allow for proper ventilation.
  6. Insert Stoneware: Place the clean stoneware into the base unit.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Add Ingredients: Place your desired ingredients into the removable stoneware.
  2. Secure Lid: Place the lid (with either the iStir system or classic handle) onto the stoneware.
  3. Plug In: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. The digital display will illuminate.
  4. Select Temperature: Press the 'HIGH' or 'LOW' button to select your desired cooking temperature.
  5. Set Cooking Time: Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the desired cooking time, ranging from 30 minutes to 20 hours. The timer will count down in 30-minute increments.
  6. Start Cooking: Press the 'Power' button to begin cooking. The display will show the remaining cooking time.
  7. Automatic WARM: Once the set cooking time is complete, the slow cooker will automatically switch to the 'WARM' setting. This function keeps food warm without overcooking. The 'WARM' indicator light will illuminate.
  8. Turn Off: To turn off the appliance, press the 'Power' button. Unplug from the outlet when cooking is complete and the appliance is no longer needed.
