Introduction
This manual provides instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your Amazon Kindle Voyage E-reader. The Kindle Voyage features a 6-inch high-resolution display (300 ppi), an adaptive built-in front light, and PagePress sensors for comfortable reading.

Setup
Charging Your Device
Before initial use, fully charge your Kindle Voyage. Connect the included USB 2.0 charging cable to the device and a computer's USB port or a compatible USB power adapter (sold separately). A full charge takes approximately 3 hours via a computer.

Powering On/Off
To power on your Kindle Voyage, press and hold the power button located on the back of the device until the screen activates. To power off, press and hold the power button until a power dialog appears, then select 'Power Off'. A short press will put the device to sleep.
Connecting to Wi-Fi
The Kindle Voyage is a fully wireless device and does not require a computer for content downloads. To connect to a Wi-Fi network:
- From the Home screen, tap the Menu icon (three horizontal lines or dots).
- Select Settings.
- Tap Wi-Fi Networks.
- Choose your desired network from the list.
- Enter the password if prompted. The device supports 802.11b, 802.11g, or 802.11n standards with WEP, WPA, and WPA2 security.

Reading Experience
The Kindle Voyage features a 6-inch E Ink Carta™ display with 300 ppi, designed to mimic the appearance of printed paper. It includes optimized font technology and a 16-level gray scale for clear text and images.

PagePress Sensors
The Kindle Voyage is equipped with PagePress sensors on the bezels, allowing you to turn pages without lifting a finger. Gently press the left or right bezel to advance or go back a page. Haptic feedback confirms the page turn.
Adaptive Front Light
The adaptive front light automatically adjusts brightness based on your environment, providing optimal illumination for reading day or night. You can also manually adjust the light intensity through the settings menu.
Content Management
Your Kindle Voyage has 4 GB of on-device storage, capable of holding thousands of books. Additionally, all Amazon content is stored for free in the cloud, accessible from your device.
Supported content formats include: Kindle Format 8 (AZW3), Kindle (AZW), TXT, PDF, unprotected MOBI, PRC natively. HTML, DOC, DOCX, JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP are supported through conversion.

Battery Life
A single charge can last up to six weeks, based on a half hour of reading per day with wireless connectivity off and the light setting at 10. Actual battery life will vary depending on light settings, wireless usage, and reading habits.
Maintenance
Cleaning Your Device
To clean your Kindle Voyage, use a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive materials, solvents, or aerosol sprays. Do not immerse the device in water.
Battery Care
To prolong battery life, avoid exposing your device to extreme temperatures. If storing the device for an extended period, ensure it has at least a 50% charge.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Kindle Voyage, consider the following:
- Device Unresponsive: Try restarting the device by holding the power button for 7 seconds until the power dialog appears, then select 'Restart'. If unresponsive, hold the power button for 40 seconds to force a restart.
- Charging Issues: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the Kindle and the power source. Try a different USB port or power adapter.
- Wi-Fi Connectivity: Verify your Wi-Fi password is correct. Try restarting your Wi-Fi router. Ensure the device is within range of the network.
