- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert the Lithium Ion battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.

3.2 Weighing Items
- Ensure the scale is on a flat, stable surface and turned on.
- Place the item to be weighed directly onto the center of the scale platform.
- Read the weight displayed on the digital screen.
3.3 Tare Function (Add & Weigh)

3.4 Unit Conversion
The scale may offer different units of measurement (e.g., grams, pounds, ounces). Look for a "UNIT" or "g/oz" button, usually on the underside or near the display, to cycle through available units. (Note: Specific button location may vary slightly; refer to the scale itself.)
4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
To clean your scale, wipe the surface with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not immerse the scale in water or use abrasive cleaning agents, as this can damage the electronic components.
4.2 Storage
Store the scale in a dry place at room temperature. Avoid storing heavy objects on top of the scale, as this can damage the weighing mechanism.
5. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Display shows "Lo" or "Err" | Low battery or overload. | Replace the battery. If "Err" persists, remove item to ensure it's within the 5kg limit. |
| Inaccurate readings | Scale not on a flat surface, movement during weighing, or extreme temperature changes. | Ensure scale is on a stable, level surface. Avoid movement. Allow scale to acclimatize to room temperature. |
| Scale does not turn on | Battery incorrectly installed or completely drained. | Check battery polarity. Replace battery if necessary. |
