Setup
1. Placement
Position the soundbar centrally below your television. The wireless subwoofer can be placed anywhere in the room, ideally within 10 meters (33 feet) of the soundbar for optimal wireless connection and bass distribution.
2. Connecting the Soundbar to your TV
The SB26 offers multiple connection options:
- HDMI ARC (Recommended): Connect one end of the supplied HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC port on your TV and the other end to the HDMI OUT (ARC) port on the soundbar. This allows audio to be sent from the TV to the soundbar and enables control of the soundbar volume using your TV remote.
- Optical: Connect the supplied optical cable from your TV's optical digital audio output to the OPTICAL input on the soundbar.
- 3.5mm Analog: Connect the supplied 3.5mm audio cable from your TV's headphone or audio output to the AUX IN port on the soundbar.
Ensure all cables are securely connected.
3. Power Connection
Connect the AC power adapter to the soundbar and then to a wall outlet. Connect the subwoofer to a power outlet. The subwoofer will automatically pair with the soundbar once both are powered on.


4. Wall Mounting (Optional)

Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
Press the Power button on the soundbar's top panel or the remote control to turn the system on or off.

2. Input Selection
Press the Input button on the soundbar or the corresponding input buttons (HDMI 1, HDMI 2, Optical, AUX IN, HDMI TV) on the remote control to select your desired audio source.
3. Volume Control
Use the Volume + and Volume - buttons on the soundbar or remote to adjust the master volume. The Mute button on the remote will silence the audio.
4. Bass Control
Use the Bass + and Bass - buttons on the remote control to adjust the subwoofer's output level.
5. Bluetooth Pairing
To connect a Bluetooth device:
- Press the Bluetooth button on the soundbar or remote control. The Bluetooth indicator will flash.
- Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, laptop) and search for available devices.
- Select "Harman Kardon SB26" from the list. Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator will glow solid.
- You can now stream audio from your device to the soundbar.
6. Harman Display Virtual Surround Sound
Press the Surr. Mode button on the remote control to activate or deactivate the virtual surround sound feature. This mode enhances the soundstage for a more immersive listening experience.
7. Harman Volume
Press the Harman Volume button on the remote control to enable or disable the Harman Volume feature. This feature helps maintain consistent volume levels across different content, preventing sudden loud or quiet passages.
