3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

The megaphone requires 4 'D' batteries (not included) for operation. Follow these steps to install the batteries:

  1. Locate the battery compartment at the base of the megaphone handle.
  2. Press the Battery Cover Release button to open the compartment.
  3. Insert 4 'D' batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely until it clicks into place.

4. Operation

The megaphone features intuitive controls for easy use. Refer to Figure 4 for control button locations.

4.1 Powering On/Off and Volume Control

  1. To power on the megaphone, slide the On/Off switch to the 'On' position. A red power light will illuminate.
  2. Adjust the voice volume using the Volume Control slider located below the buttons. Slide it up for louder volume and down for lower volume.
  3. To power off, slide the On/Off switch to the 'Off' position.

4.2 Using the Siren and Music Functions

  • Siren: Press and hold the Siren button to activate the built-in siren sound. Release the button to stop the siren.
  • Music: Press the Music button to play the pre-recorded "Ole Ole Ole" song. Press it again to stop the music.

4.3 Voice Projection

Speak clearly into the microphone located at the rear of the megaphone. Ensure the volume is adjusted to your desired level for optimal projection.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the megaphone with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse in water.
  • Storage: Store the megaphone in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: Remove batteries if the megaphone will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.

6. Troubleshooting
