Important Safety Information

Perform an allergy patch test 48 hours before each application, even if you have previously used coloring products. Failure to do so may result in severe allergic reactions.

• Do not use if you have a rash on your face or a sensitive, irritated, or damaged scalp.

Preparation

1. Perform Allergy Test: 48 hours before coloring, apply a small amount of the mixed product to a clean area of skin behind your ear or on your inner elbow. Do not wash, cover, or disturb the area. If you experience any reaction, do not use the product.
2. Gather Supplies: You will need an old towel, a timer, and a non-metallic bowl (if not using the applicator bottle).
3. Protect Clothing and Skin: Drape an old towel over your shoulders. Apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly around your hairline to prevent skin staining.
4. Wear Gloves: Put on the gloves provided in the kit.

Application (Setup & Operating)

Mixing the Color

1. Unscrew the cap from the PrecisionMix™ Developing Creme (Bottle 2).
2. Puncture the seal of the PrecisionMix™ Permanent Color Creme (Tube 1) with the cap. Squeeze the entire contents of Tube 1 into Bottle 2.
3. Replace the cap on Bottle 2 and shake vigorously for 30 seconds until the color is thoroughly mixed.
4. Immediately snip off the tip of the applicator bottle. Do not store mixed color.

Applying the Color

Choose the application method based on your hair coloring needs:

A. Full Head Application (First-time color or significant regrowth)

1. Apply the mixed color to dry, unwashed hair.
2. Starting at the roots, apply the color evenly throughout your hair, ensuring full saturation.
3. Gently massage the color into your hair to ensure even distribution.

B. Root Touch-Up Application (For previously colored hair with visible roots)

1. Apply the mixed color to dry, unwashed hair, focusing only on the root area.
2. Leave the color on the roots for 20 minutes.
3. After 20 minutes, apply the remaining color through the rest of your hair.
4. Gently massage to distribute evenly.

Processing Time

• For full head application, leave the color on for 30 minutes.
• For root touch-up, after applying to roots for 20 minutes, apply to the rest of the hair and leave for an additional 10 minutes (total 30 minutes).
• Do not exceed the recommended processing time.

Rinsing and Conditioning (Maintenance)

1. Once the processing time is complete, add a small amount of warm water to your hair and gently massage to emulsify the color.
2. Rinse hair thoroughly with warm water until the water runs clear.
3. Apply the entire contents of the Color Preserving Conditioner (Tube 3) to your hair.
4. Leave the conditioner on for 2 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

Aftercare (Maintenance)

To help maintain your vibrant color:

• Use the included Color Preserving Conditioner weekly for up to 6 weeks.
• Wash hair with color-safe shampoo and conditioner.
• Limit exposure to direct sunlight and chlorinated water, which can fade color.

Troubleshooting

• Color did not take or is too light: Ensure proper mixing and full saturation of hair. Verify processing time was followed accurately. Hair condition (e.g., very resistant gray hair) can affect results.
