2. Safety Information
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons, observe the following:
- Read all instructions before installing or servicing this fan.
- Installation work and electrical wiring must be done by qualified person(s) in accordance with all applicable codes and standards, including fire-rated construction codes and standards.
- Sufficient air is needed for proper combustion and exhausting of gases through the flue (chimney) of fuel-burning equipment to prevent back-drafting. Follow the heating equipment manufacturer’s guideline and safety standards such as those published by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and the American Society for Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and the local code authorities.
- When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling, do not damage electrical wiring and other hidden utilities.
- Ducted fans must always be vented to the outdoors.
- Do not use this fan with any solid-state speed control device.
- This unit is designed for general ventilating use only. Do not use to exhaust hazardous or explosive materials and vapors.

3. Package Contents
Verify that all components are present before beginning installation:
- Ventline V2262-50 Bath Ceiling Fan Non-Lighted - Full Assembly
Note: Cap and roof flange assembly are sold separately and are not included in this package.
4. Installation
The Ventline V2262-50 fan is designed for easy ceiling installation. An 8-inch diameter rough-in opening is required for proper mounting. Ensure the installation area is clear of electrical wiring and other utilities.
4.1 Preparing the Opening
Create an 8-inch diameter rough-in opening in the ceiling. This opening will accommodate the fan's housing for a flush and secure fit.

4.3 Electrical Connection
Connect the fan to a 115V power supply. All electrical wiring should be performed by a qualified electrician and comply with local electrical codes. Ensure the power is disconnected at the circuit breaker before making any electrical connections.
4.4 Ducting and Grille Installation
Connect appropriate ducting (e.g., P7.19 Series Hard Duct or VC0292 Flex Duct, sold separately) to the fan's exhaust port and vent it to the outdoors. Once ducting is secure, attach the 10-inch diameter inside grille to the fan assembly. The self-closing foam damper will open and close as the fan operates, preventing backdrafts when the fan is off.

The Ventline V2262-50 fan is operated via a standard wall switch (not included) connected to its power supply. Simply toggle the switch to turn the fan ON or OFF. The fan will provide 50 CFM of airflow when active.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your exhaust fan.
6.1 Cleaning the Grille
Periodically remove the grille and wash it with mild soap and water. Ensure it is completely dry before reattaching. To remove the grille, gently pull down on the spring clips that hold it in place.
6.2 Cleaning the Fan Blade and Housing
WARNING: Disconnect power at the service panel before cleaning the fan blade or motor.
Wipe the fan blade and interior of the housing with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor in water. The dynamically balanced polypropylene blade is designed not to bend out of shape, but ensure it is free from dust and debris for efficient operation.
