5. Setup and Installation
5.1 Installing the CPU
- Locate the LGA 1150 CPU socket on the motherboard.
- Gently push down the load lever and pull it out to open the CPU socket.
- Carefully align the CPU with the socket, ensuring the golden triangle on the CPU matches the triangle on the socket. Do not force the CPU into the socket.
- Lower the load plate and push the load lever back into place to secure the CPU.
- Apply a thin, even layer of thermal paste to the top of the CPU.
- Install the CPU cooler according to its manufacturer's instructions.
5.2 Installing Memory (RAM)
- Open the clips at both ends of the DDR3 DIMM slots.
- Align the notch on the memory module with the notch in the DIMM slot.
- Insert the memory module firmly into the slot until the clips snap into place.
- If installing multiple modules, refer to the motherboard manual for recommended slot configurations for dual-channel operation.
5.3 Installing the Motherboard into the Chassis
Before installing the motherboard, ensure the I/O shield is properly seated in the chassis's rear opening.
- Align the motherboard with the standoffs inside the computer chassis.
- Carefully lower the motherboard onto the standoffs, ensuring the I/O ports align with the I/O shield.
- Secure the motherboard to the standoffs using the provided screws. It is recommended to tighten screws in a diagonal pattern to ensure even pressure. Do not overtighten.

5.4 Connecting Storage Devices
- Connect one end of a SATA data cable to a SATA port on the motherboard.
- Connect the other end of the SATA data cable to your hard drive or SSD.
- Connect a SATA power cable from your power supply to the storage device.
5.5 Connecting Front Panel Connectors
Connect the front panel cables (Power LED, HDD LED, Power Switch, Reset Switch, USB, Audio) from your chassis to the corresponding headers on the motherboard. Refer to the motherboard's detailed manual for exact pin configurations.
5.6 Connecting Power Supply
- Connect the 24-pin ATX main power connector from your power supply to the corresponding socket on the motherboard.
- Connect the 4-pin ATX 12V power connector (CPU power) from your power supply to the corresponding socket near the CPU.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 First Boot
After all components are installed and connected, connect your monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Power on your system. The system should display the BIOS/UEFI splash screen.
6.2 BIOS/UEFI Setup
During the boot process, press the designated key (usually DEL or F2) to enter the BIOS/UEFI setup utility. Here you can configure system settings, boot order, and monitor hardware status.
