GIMA MT BASE PLUS Low-Frequency Magnetotherapy Device User Manual

Model: 28321

1. Introduction

The GIMA MT BASE PLUS is a low-frequency magnetotherapy device specifically designed and manufactured for convenient home applications. This device utilizes pulsed magnetic fields to support various therapeutic needs.

The primary effects of low-frequency magnetic fields include:

  • Anti-edema: Helps reduce swelling.
  • Analgesic: Provides pain relief.
  • Anti-phlogistic: Reduces inflammation.
  • Regenerative: Supports tissue regeneration.

These effects are primarily applied in fields such as traumatology, rheumatology, angiology, neurology, dermatology, and endocrinology.

The device incorporates an electric current generator with a square wave output, offering a variable frequency from 10 to 99 Hz and adjustable pulse duration. This allows for a pre-determinable field intensity ranging from 10 to 80 Gauss. It also features an audible magnetic field detector and a safety system that halts operation in case of a short circuit.

Both included plates (solenoids) can be connected simultaneously; in this configuration, the magnetic field produced by each plate will be half of the total intensity.

2. Safety Information

Please read all safety instructions carefully before using the device. Failure to do so may result in injury or device malfunction.

  • Consult a Physician: Always consult your doctor or a qualified healthcare professional before starting any magnetotherapy treatment, especially if you have pre-existing medical conditions.
  • Contraindications: Magnetotherapy generally has no specific contraindications; however, its use is NOT RECOMMENDED for individuals with pacemakers or other implanted electronic devices, and for pregnant women.
  • Children: Keep the device out of reach of children.
  • Electrical Safety: Do not use the device near water or in damp environments. Ensure the power cord is not damaged.
  • Device Integrity: Do not attempt to open or repair the device yourself. Contact qualified service personnel for any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Short Circuit Protection: The device is equipped with a safety system that blocks distribution in case of a short circuit. If this occurs, immediately unplug the device and check all connections before attempting to restart. If the issue persists, contact customer support.

Components:

  • Main Control Unit: Features a digital display for frequency and intensity settings, and control buttons.
  • Solenoids (Applicator Plates): Two transducers that convert electrical impulses into a magnetic field for application.
  • Power Adapter: For connecting the device to a power source.
  • Carrying Case: For easy transport and protection of the device.

4. Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the carrying case.
  2. Placement: Place the main control unit on a stable, flat surface.
  3. Connect Solenoids: Plug the cables from the solenoids into the designated ports on the main control unit. Ensure a secure connection.
  4. Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the main control unit, then plug it into a suitable electrical outlet (230 V / 50-60 Hz).
  5. Initial Check: Before starting treatment, ensure all connections are firm and the device is powered on.

5. Operating Instructions

The GIMA MT BASE PLUS is designed for simple, fast, and lightweight operation, offering professional magnetotherapy at home.

  1. Power On: Turn on the device using the power button. The digital displays will illuminate.
  2. Set Frequency: Use the control buttons to adjust the frequency (Hz) to the desired value, ranging from 10 to 99 Hz.
  3. Set Intensity: Use the control buttons to adjust the magnetic field intensity (Gauss) to the desired value, ranging from 10 to 80 Gauss.
  4. Position Solenoids: Place the solenoids directly on the area of the body requiring treatment. They can be secured with elastic bands or wraps if needed.
  5. Audible Field Detector: The device has an integrated audible magnetic field detector. A sound indicates that the magnetic field is being generated. If no sound is heard, check connections and settings.
  6. Simultaneous Use: If using both solenoids simultaneously, be aware that the intensity delivered by each will be half of the total set intensity.
  7. Treatment Duration: The duration of a session varies depending on the individual, the condition being treated, and its severity. Always follow your healthcare professional's recommendations.
  8. Power Off: After the treatment session, turn off the device and unplug it from the power outlet.
