3. Setup
3.1 Installing the Sanding Belt
- Ensure the sander is unplugged from the power source before attempting any adjustments or belt changes.
- Locate the quick belt change button or lever on the side of the sander. Press or lift it to release the tension on the sanding belt.
- Remove the old sanding belt.
- Slide the new sanding belt onto the rollers, ensuring the arrows on the inside of the belt match the direction of rotation indicated on the sander.
- Release the quick belt change button/lever to tension the new belt.
- Use the precise belt adjustment selector to center the belt on the rollers. This prevents the belt from running off the side during operation.

3.2 Attaching the Dust Bag
- Locate the dust extraction port on the sander.
- Attach the provided dust bag securely to the extraction port. Ensure it is firmly connected to prevent dust leakage.
- Regularly empty the dust bag to maintain optimal dust collection efficiency and prevent clogging.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Safety Precautions
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, and a dust mask.
- Ensure your work area is well-lit and clear of obstructions.
- Secure the workpiece firmly to prevent movement during sanding.
- Never operate the sander with a damaged or incorrectly installed sanding belt.
4.2 Powering On and Off
- Plug the sander into a suitable 220V power outlet.
- To start the sander, press the ON/OFF trigger.
- For continuous operation, press the lock-on button while the trigger is engaged. This allows the sander to run without constant pressure on the trigger.
- To turn off the sander, release the trigger. If the lock-on button is engaged, press the trigger again to release the lock and then release the trigger.
4.3 Adjusting Speed
- The SB90 features a variable speed control dial. Rotate the dial to select the desired belt speed.

- Place the sander flat on the workpiece before turning it on.
- Move the sander smoothly and evenly across the surface, following the grain of the wood. Avoid applying excessive pressure, as the weight of the tool is usually sufficient.
- Lift the sander off the workpiece before turning it off.

- Always unplug the sander before cleaning.
- Use a soft brush or compressed air to clean dust and debris from the ventilation openings and around the sanding belt area.
