Setup Guide
Battery Installation
The G602 mouse operates on two AA batteries. For optimal performance and battery life, it is recommended to use high-quality AA batteries. You can also choose to operate the mouse with a single AA battery to reduce weight, though this will reduce the overall battery life.
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the mouse.
- Slide the battery compartment cover open.
- Insert two AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Connecting the Wireless Receiver
The Logitech G602 uses a USB wireless receiver for connectivity. For best results, plug the receiver into a USB port on your computer. An included extension cable can be used to position the receiver closer to the mouse, which can improve signal strength and reduce interference, especially if your computer is under a desk or far away.
- Remove the USB wireless receiver from its storage slot within the mouse's battery compartment.
- Plug the USB receiver directly into an available USB port on your computer.
- Alternatively, connect the USB receiver to the provided extension cable, and then plug the extension cable into a USB port on your computer. Position the receiver for optimal signal.
- Turn on the mouse using the power switch located on its underside.
- Your computer should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers.

Programmable Buttons

Performance and Endurance Modes
The G602 offers two distinct modes to optimize battery life and performance:
- Endurance Mode: Provides up to 250 hours of battery life, ideal for general use and non-gaming tasks where maximum responsiveness is not critical.
- Performance Mode: Offers gaming-grade responsiveness with a faster report rate, suitable for competitive gaming. This mode consumes more power, reducing battery life.
Switch between modes using the dedicated switch located near the scroll wheel. An indicator light will confirm the active mode.
Logitech Gaming Software (LGS)
To unlock the full potential of your G602 mouse, download and install the Logitech Gaming Software from the official Logitech website. LGS allows you to:
- Customize all 11 programmable buttons.
- Create and manage multiple profiles for different games and applications.
- Adjust DPI sensitivity settings.
- Monitor battery status.
DPI Adjustment
The G602 allows for on-the-fly DPI (Dots Per Inch) adjustment, enabling you to change cursor sensitivity instantly. Use the dedicated DPI buttons (G10 and G11, typically located to the left of the left-click button) to cycle through your pre-set DPI levels. This is particularly useful for switching between precise aiming in games and fast navigation on the desktop.
Care and Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Logitech G602 mouse, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe the mouse surface with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents.
- Sensor Care: Keep the optical sensor on the underside of the mouse clean and free from dust or debris. Do not touch the sensor directly.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, turn off the mouse to conserve battery life. Store the wireless receiver inside the mouse's battery compartment to prevent loss.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator illuminates or when performance degrades.
