5.2 Power Connection

Connect the screen's power cord to a standard 110V/120V, 60Hz electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet is easily accessible.

5.3 Remote Control Setup

The screen comes with an Infrared (IR) remote control and a detachable 3-way wall switch. The 12V trigger cable allows for synchronized operation with a compatible projector.

Programming the Vertical Drop Position

You can program the screen to stop at a preferred vertical drop position:

  1. Lower the screen to your desired stopping point using the remote or wall switch.
  2. On the wired control box (usually integrated with the wall switch), press and hold the program button.
  3. While holding the program button, press the DOWN button on the remote control. The screen is now set to stop at this designated position.
  4. To remove this programmed position, press and hold the program button on the wired control box, then press the STOP button on the remote. The screen will then open all the way down to its factory default limit.

Synchronizing/Pairing a New Radio Frequency (RF) Remote

If you have multiple screens or need to pair a new RF remote to a specific screen to avoid interference:

  1. On the wired control box, press and hold the program button.
  2. While holding the program button, press the UP button on the RF remote controller.
  3. Once the red light on the wired control box starts slowly blinking, press the UP button on the RF remote controller again. The remote is now assigned to that specific screen.

Changing the RF Code

To change the RF code and prevent controlling multiple screens simultaneously:

  1. Remove the batteries from the RF remote controller.
  2. Locate the code switch inside the battery compartment. Change the position of the code switch using a small tool.
  3. Insert the batteries back into the remote.
  4. Synchronize the remote with the wired wall box controller as described in the previous section.

  • Press the UP button to retract the screen.
  • Press the DOWN button to deploy the screen.
  • Press the STOP (or Pause) button to halt the screen at any desired position.

6.2 12V Trigger Operation

The 12V trigger cable allows the screen to automatically deploy or retract in synchronization with your projector's power cycle:

  1. Connect the 12V trigger cable from the screen's control box to the 12V trigger output port on your projector.
  2. When the projector is powered ON, the screen will automatically deploy.
  3. When the projector is powered OFF, the screen will automatically retract.

7. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your projector screen:

  • Cleaning the Screen Surface: Use a soft, damp cloth with mild soap and water to gently clean the MaxWhite screen material. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • General Care: Keep the screen free from dust and debris. When not in use, retract the screen into its casing to protect the surface.
  • Inspection: Periodically check the mounting hardware and power connections for any signs of wear or damage.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your screen, refer to the following common solutions:

  • Screen does not respond to remote/switch:
    • Check if the screen is properly plugged into a power outlet.
    • Ensure the remote control batteries are not depleted.
    • Verify that the remote is properly synchronized with the screen (refer to Section 5.3).
  • Screen stops prematurely or does not fully retract/deploy:
    • Check for any obstructions in the screen's path.
    • If a custom vertical drop position was programmed, ensure it is set correctly or reset it to factory defaults (refer to Section 5.3).
  • Image appears distorted or uneven:
    • Ensure the projector is correctly aligned with the screen.
    • Verify that the screen surface is clean and free from wrinkles or damage.
