2. Safety Information

- Distribute weight evenly across the shelf surface to prevent tipping or instability.
- Keep hands and fingers clear of pinch points during assembly.
- This shelf is designed for static storage. Avoid using it as a climbing aid or for purposes other than its intended use.

3. Package Contents
Verify that all components are present before beginning assembly. The package should contain:
- One (1) Winco VC-1436 14" x 36" Wire Utility Shelf
- Hardware (for attaching to posts, if included with shelf, otherwise included with posts)
Note: Compatible shelving posts are sold separately and are required for a complete shelving unit.
4. Setup and Assembly
The Winco VC-1436 wire utility shelf is designed for easy, tool-free assembly with compatible shelving posts (sold separately).
- Prepare Posts: Ensure your shelving posts are upright and stable. If assembling a new unit, attach leveling feet to the bottom of each post.
- Attach Split Sleeves: Snap the two halves of a plastic split sleeve around each shelving post at the desired height for your shelf. Ensure the tapered end of the split sleeve faces upwards.
- Position Shelf: Carefully lower the wire shelf over the top of the posts, aligning the shelf collars with the split sleeves. Apply downward pressure until the shelf collars firmly seat over the split sleeves.
- Verify Stability: Once all four corners are seated, gently rock the shelf to ensure it is stable and securely attached to the posts.

- Inspection: Periodically inspect the shelf and its connection to the posts for any signs of wear, damage, or instability. Tighten connections if necessary.
7. Troubleshooting

- Shelf is Wobbly:
- Ensure all split sleeves are fully seated in the shelf collars.
- Verify that the shelving unit is on a level surface. Adjust leveling feet on the posts if applicable.
- Check that posts are securely inserted into their bases.
- Difficulty Assembling Shelf:
- Ensure the split sleeves are correctly oriented with the tapered end facing upwards.
- Apply firm, even pressure when lowering the shelf onto the split sleeves.
- Confirm that you are using compatible shelving posts (sold separately).
