Setup
Battery Installation
The Becker EC5410-II remote control operates on a Lithium-ion battery. While the product specifications indicate batteries are not included or required for purchase, please check the device's battery compartment for specific battery type and installation instructions. Ensure correct polarity when inserting batteries.
Pairing with Centronic Receiver
- Ensure your Centronic receiver is in pairing mode. Refer to your receiver's manual for specific instructions on how to activate pairing mode.
- On the EC5410-II remote, select the desired channel you wish to pair.
- Press and hold the programming button (often located on the back or side of the remote) until the receiver confirms successful pairing (e.g., a short movement of the connected device or an audible signal).
- Test the remote control's functionality on the paired channel.
Operating Instructions
Channel Selection
Use the channel selection buttons (typically up/down arrows or numbered buttons) to navigate between the 10 available channels. The 3-color LEDs will indicate the currently selected channel.
Individual, Group, and Central Control
- Individual Control: Select a specific channel to operate a single device.
- Group Control: The remote allows for two groups of 5 channels. Consult your receiver's manual for setting up groups. Once configured, select the designated group channel to control multiple devices simultaneously.
- Central Control: A dedicated central channel may be available to control all paired devices at once.
Programming Intermediate Positions
The EC5410-II allows you to program two freely selectable intermediate positions per channel. To program an intermediate position:
- Move the connected device to the desired intermediate position using the UP/DOWN buttons.
- Press and hold the STOP button until the device briefly moves or a confirmation signal is received.
- The intermediate position is now saved for the selected channel. Repeat for the second intermediate position if desired.
Maintenance
Battery Replacement
If the remote control's response becomes sluggish or the LEDs dim, it may be time to replace the battery. Open the battery compartment (if applicable) and replace the old battery with a new Lithium-ion battery of the correct type, ensuring proper polarity. Dispose of old batteries responsibly.
Cleaning
Clean the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or wet cloths, as these can damage the device's surface or internal components.
Troubleshooting
- Remote not responding: Check battery level and replace if necessary. Ensure the remote is within range of the receiver. Verify that the correct channel is selected.
- Device not pairing: Ensure the receiver is in pairing mode. Confirm the remote is transmitting on the correct frequency. Try resetting both the remote and receiver (refer to their respective manuals for reset procedures).
- Limited range: Check for obstructions between the remote and receiver. Ensure there are no strong interference sources nearby (e.g., other wireless devices, large metal objects).
If problems persist, please contact customer support.
