2. Safety Information

  • Read all instructions: Before using the adapter, read all safety and operating instructions.
  • Proper Voltage: Ensure the adapter's output voltage (6V DC) matches the requirements of your device. Using an incorrect voltage can damage your equipment.
  • Indoor Use Only: This adapter is designed for indoor use. Do not expose it to rain, moisture, or extreme temperatures.
  • Avoid Overloading: Do not overload electrical outlets or extension cords, as this can result in a risk of fire or electric shock.
  • Handle with Care: Do not drop, puncture, or disassemble the adapter. Avoid sharp impacts.
  • Cord Protection: Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the adapter.
  • Unplug When Not in Use: Disconnect the adapter from the power outlet when not in use for extended periods.
  • Cleaning: Clean the adapter only with a dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners.

3. Setup

3.1 Identifying the Adapter Components

Your UpBright 6V AC Adapter consists of two main parts: the main adapter unit with a standard two-prong AC plug and the attached DC output cable with a barrel connector.

3.2 Connecting the Adapter

  1. Locate the Power Input: Identify the DC power input port on your Freemotion or ICON Health & Fitness equipment. This port is typically labeled for DC input and specifies the required voltage (e.g., "6V DC").
  2. Connect the DC Plug: Carefully insert the barrel connector of the adapter's DC output cable into the power input port of your equipment. Ensure a snug fit.
  3. Plug into AC Outlet: Insert the two-prong AC plug of the adapter into a standard 100-240VAC 50/60Hz wall outlet.
  4. Verify Power: Once connected, your equipment should receive power. Check for any power indicator lights on your equipment to confirm.

4. Operation

The UpBright 6V AC Adapter operates automatically once connected. It converts the alternating current (AC) from your wall outlet into direct current (DC) at 6 volts, suitable for your compatible fitness equipment. There are no user-adjustable settings on the adapter itself.

Ensure the adapter is always connected to a functional power outlet and that the connection to your equipment is secure for uninterrupted operation.

5. Maintenance

  • Keep Clean: Periodically wipe the adapter with a dry, soft cloth to remove dust. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Inspect Cables: Regularly check the power cord and connector for any signs of damage, fraying, or bending. If damage is observed, discontinue use immediately and replace the adapter.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the adapter in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid tightly coiling the cable to prevent damage.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the adapter has adequate ventilation and is not covered, as this can lead to overheating.
