Assembly Instructions

Assembly requires careful attention to detail and may take some time. It is recommended to have two people for assembly. Lay out all parts and hardware before beginning.

  1. Unpack and Identify Parts: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Refer to the parts list (if provided separately) and the diagrams to identify each piece.
  2. Assemble the Main Frame: Connect the base supports and uprights using the provided bolts and nuts. Ensure all connections are secure but do not fully tighten until the frame is stable.
  3. Attach the Bench: Secure the adjustable backrest and seat pads to the main frame. Ensure the adjustment mechanisms function correctly.
  4. Install Barbell Rack: Mount the barbell rack uprights and safety catches. Adjust their height as needed for your exercises.
  5. Assemble Leg Extension/Curl: Attach the leg extension/curl unit to the front of the bench. Ensure the foam rollers are securely in place.
  6. Install Pulley Tower: Assemble the pulley tower at the rear of the bench. Route the cables through the pulleys as shown in the diagrams. Attach the handles.
  7. Final Tightening: Once all components are assembled, systematically tighten all bolts and nuts. Do not overtighten.
  8. Stability Check: Gently shake the assembled bench to ensure it is stable and all connections are secure.

Operating Instructions

The Physionics Multi-Function Weight Bench allows for a variety of exercises targeting different muscle groups. Always ensure the bench is properly adjusted and stable for your chosen exercise.

1. Chest Press (Bench Press)

  • Adjust the backrest to your desired incline (flat, incline, decline).
  • Position the barbell rack uprights to a height that allows you to comfortably unrack and re-rack the barbell.
  • Lie on the bench with your feet flat on the floor. Grip the barbell slightly wider than shoulder-width apart.
  • Unrack the barbell, lower it to your chest, and press it back up.
  • Always use a spotter for heavy lifts.

2. Leg Extension / Leg Curl

  • Leg Extension: Sit on the bench with your back supported. Place your shins behind the lower foam rollers. Attach appropriate weight plates to the weight post. Extend your legs fully, then slowly return to the starting position.
  • Leg Curl: Lie face down on the bench (if possible with the design, or adjust the attachment). Position your Achilles tendons under the foam rollers. Curl your legs upwards, then slowly lower them.

3. Preacher Curl

  • Attach the preacher curl pad to the front of the bench.
  • Sit on the bench and rest your upper arms on the pad. Grip a barbell or dumbbells.
  • Curl the weight upwards, focusing on contracting your biceps, then slowly lower it.

4. Lat Pulldown / Pulley Exercises

  • Attach the appropriate handle (e.g., lat bar, rope handle) to the upper pulley cable.
  • Sit on the bench facing the pulley tower. Grip the handle with an overhand grip.
  • Pull the handle down towards your upper chest, squeezing your shoulder blades together. Slowly release the weight.
  • For lower pulley exercises (e.g., seated rows, bicep curls), attach the handle to the lower pulley.

Troubleshooting
