Setup Guide
- Placement:
Position the subwoofer on a flat, stable surface, preferably on the floor for optimal bass response. Place the satellite speakers on either side of your listening area, ensuring they are facing towards you. The translucent stands are designed to reduce interference from surfaces.
- Connect Satellite Speakers:
Connect the cables from the satellite speakers to the corresponding output ports on the rear panel of the subwoofer. Ensure a secure connection for both left and right channels.
- Connect Audio Source:
You have two primary options for connecting an audio source:
- Bluetooth: Turn on the speaker system. The system will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode or you can switch to Bluetooth mode. On your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and select "Edifier M1370BT" from the list of available devices to pair.
- Auxiliary (3.5mm or RCA): Use the provided 3.5mm audio cable to connect your audio source (e.g., computer, TV, MP3 player) to the 3.5mm line-in jack on the side of the subwoofer. Alternatively, use an RCA cable (not included) for stereo line-in.
- Power Connection:
Connect the power cable from the subwoofer to a standard AC power outlet (220 Volts). Turn on the power switch located on the rear panel of the subwoofer.
- Initial Volume Adjustment:
Before playing audio, set the master volume control on the subwoofer to a low level to avoid sudden loud sounds. Adjust the bass control to your preference.
Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
To power on the system, flip the power switch on the rear panel of the subwoofer to the 'ON' position. To power off, flip the switch to the 'OFF' position.
Volume Control
The master volume control dial is located on the side panel of the subwoofer. Rotate clockwise to increase volume and counter-clockwise to decrease volume.
Bass Adjustment
The bass adjustment dial is also located on the side panel of the subwoofer, next to the master volume control. Rotate this dial to increase or decrease the bass output to suit your listening preference.
Input Mode Selection
The system automatically prioritizes Bluetooth connection. If a Bluetooth device is paired and connected, the system will play audio from that source. If no Bluetooth device is connected or paired, the system will default to the auxiliary input. To switch between inputs, ensure the desired source is active and connected.
- Bluetooth Mode: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and paired with "Edifier M1370BT".
- Auxiliary Mode: Connect your audio source via the 3.5mm or RCA input. If a Bluetooth device is connected, disconnect it to switch to auxiliary input.
Maintenance and Care
- Cleaning:
Wipe the speaker surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish. Avoid spraying liquids directly onto the speakers.
- Placement:
Keep the speakers away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive moisture. Ensure adequate ventilation around the subwoofer to prevent overheating.
- Handling:
Handle the speakers with care. Avoid dropping or subjecting them to strong impacts, which can damage internal components.
- Power Off When Not In Use:
For extended periods of non-use, it is recommended to power off the speaker system and unplug it from the power outlet.
