The watch uses 1 Lithium Metal battery (included). When the display dims or functions become erratic, it is time to replace the battery. Timex recommends having the battery replaced by a qualified jeweler or watch service center to ensure water resistance is maintained.
Note: Opening the watch case yourself may compromise its water resistance and void the warranty.
5.2 Cleaning and Care
- Clean your watch with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use chemical cleaners.
- Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
- The nylon strap can be hand-washed with mild soap and water, then air-dried.
5.3 Water Resistance
This watch is water-resistant to 100 meters (330 ft). This means it is suitable for snorkeling, as well as swimming, but not for scuba diving. Do not operate buttons underwater to maintain water resistance integrity.
