1. Product Overview
The Paderno World Cuisine 12.5-inch (32 cm) Non-Stick Fluted Tart Pan is designed for baking tarts, quiches, and other similar dishes. It features a non-stick coating for easy food release and a removable bottom for convenient unmolding of baked goods. The fluted sides contribute to a strong crust, ideal for holding heavy fillings.

2. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the tart pan from its packaging. Inspect for any damage.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the pan thoroughly with warm, soapy water. Rinse completely and dry immediately with a soft cloth to prevent water spots.
- Removable Bottom: Ensure the removable bottom is correctly seated within the fluted ring before adding ingredients.
3. Operating Instructions
- Preparation: Lightly grease the pan with butter or cooking spray, even with its non-stick coating, for optimal release and to enhance crust crispness.
- Baking: Place your tart or quiche dough into the pan, pressing it firmly against the fluted sides. Fill with your desired ingredients. The pan is oven safe up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit (232 degrees Celsius).
- Cooling: After baking, allow the pan to cool on a wire rack for a few minutes.
- Unmolding: To unmold, place the pan on a sturdy, elevated object (like a can or a wide mug) that is smaller than the pan's diameter. Gently push down the fluted ring, allowing the tart to separate from the sides and rest on the removable bottom. Carefully slide the tart off the bottom onto a serving plate.
4. Maintenance
- Cleaning: The tart pan is dishwasher safe. For best results and to prolong the life of the non-stick coating, hand washing with warm, soapy water and a soft sponge is recommended. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Drying: Dry the pan thoroughly after washing to prevent rust, especially around the edges of the removable bottom.
- Storage: Store the pan in a dry place. If stacking with other bakeware, place a soft cloth or paper towel between pans to protect the non-stick surface.
5. Troubleshooting
- Food Sticking: Ensure the pan was adequately greased before use. Over time, non-stick coatings can degrade; consider re-seasoning if applicable or replacing if heavily worn.
- Difficulty Unmolding: Allow sufficient cooling time before attempting to unmold. Ensure the removable bottom is not warped or bent, which could hinder smooth release.
- Uneven Baking: Check your oven's calibration. Ensure the pan is placed on a level rack in the center of the oven for even heat distribution.
