Operating Instructions

Receiving a Call from the Outdoor Panel

When a visitor presses the call button (nameplate) on the outdoor panel, the internal handset will ring. You can answer the call using the handset's answer button. The system supports hands-free communication.

Using as a Cordless Phone

If connected to the telephone network, the handset functions as a standard cordless phone. Use the numeric keypad to dial numbers. The handset features a backlit screen and large digits for ease of use.

Internal Directory

The handset allows you to store up to 50 numbers in its internal directory. Refer to the handset's on-screen menu for instructions on adding, editing, and deleting contacts.

Call History

The system maintains a log of incoming and outgoing calls. Access the call history through the handset's menu to review past calls.

Ringtone Selection

You can choose from 10 different ringtones. The system also allows you to assign a distinct ringtone for calls originating from the outdoor call panel versus standard telephone calls.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

  • Handset: Replace the 1.2V 600mAh NiMH rechargeable batteries when their performance degrades. Use only specified rechargeable batteries.
  • Outdoor Call Panel: Replace the 2 C LR14 batteries when the panel's functionality is affected. If using an optional power supply, battery replacement may be less frequent.

Cleaning

Wipe the handset and outdoor call panel with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the surfaces. Ensure the outdoor panel's nameplate area is kept clean for proper call button function.

Troubleshooting

  • No audio from outdoor panel: Check the C LR14 batteries in the outdoor panel. Ensure they are correctly inserted and not depleted. If using an external power supply, verify its connection.
  • Handset not powering on or holding charge: Ensure the handset is correctly seated on the charging base and the AC adapter is plugged in. Check the rechargeable NiMH batteries for proper insertion and charge level. Replace batteries if necessary.
  • Limited wireless range: The system has an open-field range of 200m. Walls, metal structures, and other electronic devices can significantly reduce this range. Try repositioning the handset or outdoor panel to minimize obstructions.
  • Outdoor panel call button not responding: The nameplate area on the outdoor panel functions as the call button. Ensure it is not obstructed or damaged.
  • Difficulty reading handset display: The display is backlit. Ensure the handset batteries are sufficiently charged.
