6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your scooter.
- Cleaning: Wipe down the scooter with a damp cloth after use. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Inspections: Before each ride, check for loose parts, especially bolts, clamps, and the folding mechanism. Inspect the wheels for wear and tear, and ensure the brake is functioning correctly.
- Lubrication: Periodically apply a small amount of lubricant to moving parts, such as the folding mechanism and wheel bearings, to ensure smooth operation.
- Tire/Wheel Care: The 200mm PU wheels are durable, but inspect them for cracks or excessive wear. Replace if necessary.
- Storage: Store the scooter in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, to prevent material degradation.
7. Troubleshooting
Here are some common issues and their solutions:
- Squeaking Noises: Check for loose bolts or parts that may be rubbing. Lubricate moving components if necessary.
- Handlebar Wobble: Ensure the quick-release clamp on the handlebar stem is fully tightened. If the handlebars still wobble, check the internal locking mechanism.
- Brake Ineffectiveness: Inspect the rear fender brake for wear. Ensure it makes full contact with the wheel. If worn, replacement may be necessary.
- Difficulty Folding/Unfolding: Ensure the One-Click mechanism is clean and free of debris. Apply a small amount of lubricant if it feels stiff.
