- Battery Replacement: If the remote's response becomes sluggish or inconsistent, replace all 4 AAA batteries with new ones. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
- Storage: Store the remote in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Avoid Drops: Protect the remote from physical impact, as drops can damage internal components.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Redi-Remote, please refer to the following common solutions:
- Remote Not Responding:
- Check if the batteries are inserted correctly with the correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the batteries with fresh AAA batteries.
- Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote control and the ONKYO receiver's infrared sensor.
- Confirm you are within the effective range of the receiver.
- Specific Buttons Not Working:
- Ensure the remote is pointed directly at the receiver.
- Verify that the function you are trying to use is supported by your specific ONKYO receiver model.
- Remote Controls Other Devices:
- This remote is designed specifically for ONKYO TXSR603 series receivers and cannot be programmed for other devices. If it appears to control another device, it may be due to incidental infrared signal overlap, which is rare.
