Controls and Ports:

Setup
1. Charging the Speaker:
Before first use, fully charge your Ultimate Ears BOOM speaker. Connect the supplied USB cable to the Micro USB port on the bottom of the speaker and plug the other end into the power adapter. Plug the adapter into a wall outlet. A full charge takes approximately 15 hours.
2. Bluetooth Pairing:
- Turn on your Ultimate Ears BOOM speaker by pressing the Power Button on the top.
- Press and hold the Bluetooth Pairing Button (small button near the power button) until you hear an audible tone and the LED indicator flashes rapidly.
- On your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, MP3 player, laptop), go to the Bluetooth settings.
- Select "UE BOOM" from the list of available devices.
- Once paired, the speaker will confirm with an audible tone, and the LED indicator will turn solid.
The speaker can maintain a Bluetooth connection up to 50 feet (15.24 meters) away from your device.
Operating Instructions
Power On/Off:
- To turn on, press the Power Button on the top of the speaker.
- To turn off, press and hold the Power Button until the speaker powers down.
Volume Control:
- Press the large '+' button on the front to increase volume.
- Press the large '-' button on the front to decrease volume.
Connecting Multiple Speakers (Double Up):
For an enhanced audio experience, you can wirelessly connect two Ultimate Ears BOOM speakers together in stereo. This feature is managed via the dedicated UE BOOM app, available for compatible smartphones and tablets. Refer to the app's instructions for detailed steps on how to "Double Up" your speakers.
Call Handling:
The Ultimate Ears BOOM features a built-in microphone, allowing you to take phone calls directly through the speaker when connected to a smartphone. Functions like answering and ending calls are typically managed via your connected device.
