4. Installation and Setup
Proper installation is critical for the safe and reliable operation of your gate opener. It is recommended that installation be performed by a professional or someone with adequate technical knowledge.
4.1 Mounting the Motor Unit
- Choose a stable, level surface near the gate for mounting the motor unit. Ensure there is enough space for the gate to slide freely.
- Securely fasten the motor unit to the ground using the provided assembly materials. The installation type is screw-in.
- Ensure the motor unit is perfectly aligned with the gate's path to allow smooth engagement with the toothed racks.
4.2 Installing the Toothed Racks
- Attach the 8 toothed racks along the bottom edge of your sliding gate.
- Ensure the racks are level and maintain a small clearance (approx. 1-2mm) from the motor's drive gear to prevent friction and allow for smooth operation.
- Securely fasten each rack segment, ensuring they form a continuous, straight line.
4.3 Wiring and Electrical Connection
WARNING: Electrical work should only be performed by a qualified electrician.
- Connect the motor unit to a suitable power supply according to the wiring diagram provided in the full product manual (not included here).
- Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated.
4.4 Installing Safety Devices
Install the infrared sensors and warning light as follows:
- Infrared Sensors: Mount the two infrared sensors on opposite sides of the gate opening, ensuring they are aligned and the beam is unobstructed. These sensors will reverse the gate movement if the connection is interrupted, enhancing safety.
- Warning Light: Install the warning light in a visible location near the gate. It will flash to indicate gate operation.
