Control Panel Layout

  1. Volume Knob: Adjusts the audio output level.
  2. Repeat Button: Repeats current track or all tracks (CD/USB mode).
  3. Memory Button: Stores FM radio presets or CD program sequence.
  4. Tuner/CD/USB Selector: Switches between FM radio, CD/MP3, and USB playback modes.
  5. Mute Button: Temporarily silences audio output.
  6. Folder Up/Down Buttons: Navigates folders on USB or MP3 CDs.
  7. Play/Pause Button: Starts or pauses playback.
  8. Stop Button: Stops playback.
  9. Skip/Search Buttons: Skips tracks or fast forwards/rewinds.
  10. Tuning Knob: Manually tunes FM radio frequencies.
  11. LCD Display: Shows track number, time, radio frequency, and mode.
  12. CD Compartment: Front-loading tray for CDs and MP3 CDs.
  13. USB Port: For connecting USB storage devices.
  14. Headphone Jack (3.5mm): For private listening.
  15. Telescopic Antenna: For FM radio reception.
  16. AC Power Input: Connects to the AC adapter.
  17. Battery Compartment: Located on the bottom for optional battery power.

4. Power Supply

AC Power Operation

To power the unit using AC electricity:

  1. Ensure the voltage of your power outlet matches the rating on the AC adapter (230V).
  2. Plug the small end of the AC adapter into the AC power input jack on the back of the radio.
  3. Plug the other end of the AC adapter into a standard wall outlet.

Battery Operation

For portable use, the unit can be powered by batteries (not included).

  1. Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the unit.
  2. Insert the required number of C-size batteries (refer to the compartment for polarity).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: When the AC adapter is connected, battery power is automatically disconnected.

5. FM Radio Operation

  1. Extend the telescopic antenna for optimal reception.
  2. Set the Tuner/CD/USB selector to 'Tuner' or 'FM'.
  3. Rotate the Tuning Knob to select your desired FM radio station. The frequency will be displayed on the LCD.
  4. Adjust the Volume Knob to your preferred listening level.

Storing Radio Presets

The unit allows for storing up to 20 FM radio presets.

  1. Tune to the desired station using the Tuning Knob.
  2. Press the Memory button. The display will show a preset number (e.g., 'P01').
  3. Use the Skip/Search buttons to select the desired preset number.
  4. Press the Memory button again to confirm and save the station.
  5. To recall a preset, press the Memory button repeatedly to cycle through stored stations, or use the Skip/Search buttons to navigate to the desired preset number and then press Memory.

6. CD/MP3 Disc Operation

This unit can play standard audio CDs and MP3 CDs.

  1. Set the Tuner/CD/USB selector to 'CD'.
  2. Gently open the CD compartment door.
  3. Place a CD or MP3 CD onto the spindle with the label side facing up.
  4. Close the CD compartment door. The unit will read the disc, and the total number of tracks/folders will appear on the LCD.
  5. Press the Play/Pause button to start playback.
  6. Use the Skip/Search buttons to navigate between tracks. Hold them down to fast forward or rewind within a track.
  7. For MP3 CDs with folders, use the Folder Up/Down buttons to navigate between folders.
  8. Press the Stop button to stop playback.

Program Playback (CD/MP3)

You can program up to 20 tracks to play in a specific order.

  1. In Stop mode, press the Memory button. 'P01' will flash on the display.
  2. Use the Skip/Search buttons to select the first desired track.
  3. Press the Memory button again to store the track. 'P02' will flash.
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to add up to 20 tracks to your program.
  5. After programming, press the Play/Pause button to start programmed playback.

7. USB Playback

The unit supports playing MP3 files from a USB flash drive.

  1. Insert your USB flash drive into the USB port on the front of the unit.
  2. Set the Tuner/CD/USB selector to 'USB'. The unit will automatically scan and display the number of tracks/folders.
  3. Press the Play/Pause button to start playback.
  4. Use the Skip/Search buttons to navigate between tracks. Hold them down to fast forward or rewind within a track.
  5. Use the Folder Up/Down buttons to navigate between folders on the USB drive.
  6. Press the Stop button to stop playback.

Note: Ensure your USB drive is formatted to FAT32 and contains only supported MP3 audio files.

8. AUX Input

Connect external audio devices (e.g., smartphones, MP3 players) to the unit using the 3.5mm AUX input.

  1. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the headphone jack or line-out of your external device.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to the 3.5mm AUX input jack on the front of the iCES ISCD-33.
  3. Set the Tuner/CD/USB selector to 'AUX' (if available, otherwise ensure no other source is playing).
  4. Start playback on your external device.
  5. Adjust the volume on both the external device and the iCES ISCD-33 for optimal sound.

9. Maintenance

Cleaning

  • Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
  • For the CD lens, use a specialized CD lens cleaner disc.

Storage

If storing the unit for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and damage.

10. Troubleshooting
