Important Safeguards
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:
- Read all instructions before operating the slow cooker.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the cord, plugs, or heating base in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
- Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
- Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
- This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
- Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as adding cold food to a hot pot or placing a hot pot on a cold surface.
- The removable cooking pot is designed for use with this slow cooker only. It must not be used on a stovetop or in an oven unless specifically stated in the operating instructions.

- Oven Use: The pot can be placed directly into a conventional oven. Always use oven mitts when handling a hot pot.
- Fridge/Freezer Use: After cooking, allow food to cool before placing the pot with contents into the refrigerator or freezer for storage.
Shabbos Sure Knob Cover and Blech
These accessories are provided for specific uses. The Shabbos Sure Knob Cover is designed to prevent accidental changes to the slow cooker's settings. The Blech is a metal sheet typically used to cover heating elements on a stovetop or slow cooker for certain religious observances. Consult relevant guidelines for proper use of these items.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your slow cooker.
- Always unplug the slow cooker from the electrical outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Removable Cooking Pot and Glass Cover: These components are dishwasher safe. Alternatively, they can be washed by hand in warm, soapy water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that could damage the non-stick coating or glass.
- Heating Base: Wipe the exterior and the CleanQuick coated griddle surface of the heating base with a damp cloth. For stubborn food residue on the griddle surface, use a soft sponge with mild detergent. Never immerse the heating base in water or any other liquid.
- Non-Stick Coating Care: To preserve the CleanQuick non-stick coating, avoid using metal utensils that can scratch the surface. Use wooden, plastic, or silicone utensils.
- Storage: Store the slow cooker with the lid inverted on the pot to prevent moisture buildup, or store separately in a dry place.
