Eco-Drive Technology
Citizen Eco-Drive watches are powered by light, converting both natural and artificial light into energy. This energy is stored in a power cell, allowing the watch to run for extended periods, even in darkness, once fully charged. This eliminates the need for regular battery changes, contributing to environmental sustainability.

Setup
Initial Charging
Upon receiving your watch, expose it to bright light (natural sunlight or fluorescent lamp) for several hours to ensure it is fully charged. A full charge can last up to 6 months in darkness.
Setting Time and Date
- Pull the crown out to the first click position.
- Rotate the crown to set the date. Adjust the date for the previous day, as the date changes automatically when setting the time past midnight.
- Pull the crown out to the second click position. The hands will stop.
- Rotate the crown to set the time. Observe the hands to ensure AM/PM is correctly set (the date will change when passing midnight).
- Push the crown back into the normal position. The hands will resume movement.
Adjusting the Bracelet
For optimal comfort and fit, the stainless steel bracelet may require adjustment. It is recommended to have this procedure performed by a qualified jeweler or watch technician to avoid damage to the watch or bracelet.
Operating Instructions
Basic Timekeeping
Once the time and date are set and the watch is sufficiently charged, it will accurately display the current time and date. The watch features a 2-hand movement (hour and minute) and a date window.
Maintenance
Charging Guidelines
To maintain optimal performance, ensure your Eco-Drive watch is regularly exposed to light. Avoid prolonged storage in dark places. If the watch stops, expose it to bright light to restart and recharge.
Cleaning and Care
Wipe the watch case and bracelet periodically with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
Water Resistance
This watch is water resistant to 30 meters (99 feet). This means it is suitable for splashes or brief immersion in water, but not for swimming, showering, or diving. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.
Troubleshooting
Watch Not Running
If the watch stops, it may be due to insufficient charge. Expose the watch to bright light for several hours. If it does not restart, contact Citizen customer support.
Incorrect Time or Date
If the time or date is incorrect, refer to the "Setting Time and Date" section under Setup to manually adjust it.
