1. Introduction

2. Setup

2.2. Connecting the Drive

  1. Connect the power adapter to the drive's power input and then to an electrical outlet.
  2. Connect one end of the supplied USB 3.0 cable to the USB 3.0 port on the rear of the drive.
  3. Connect the other end of the USB 3.0 cable to an available USB 3.0 port on your computer.

2.3. Software Installation

Insert the Setup DVD-ROM into the drive. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the CyberLink Media Suite software. This software is required for full functionality, including Blu-ray playback and burning capabilities on your PC.

3. Operating the Drive

3.1. Inserting and Ejecting Discs

  1. To open the disc tray, press the eject button located on the front of the drive.
  2. Place the disc onto the tray with the label side facing up. Ensure the disc is seated correctly on the spindle.
  3. Gently push the tray back into the drive until it closes completely. Alternatively, press the eject button again to close the tray.
  4. To eject a disc, press the eject button on the drive or use the eject function within your operating system or media software.

3.2. Playing Media

Once a disc is inserted, your computer's operating system or installed media software (such as CyberLink Media Suite) should automatically detect the disc and prompt you for action. For Blu-ray playback, ensure you have compatible software installed.

3.3. Burning Discs

The BUFFALO MediaStation supports burning Blu-ray discs (including BDXL up to 128 GB), DVDs, and CDs. Use the included CyberLink Media Suite or other compatible burning software to create data discs, video discs, or audio CDs. Follow the instructions provided by your burning software for specific procedures.
