Operation
The Banshee Titan Smart Charger operates automatically once connected. It features a 3-stage charging process to ensure optimal battery health and prevent overcharging.
- Stage 1: Constant Current (Bulk Charge): The charger delivers a constant 3.0A current to rapidly charge the battery until it reaches approximately 80% of its capacity.
- Stage 2: Constant Voltage (Absorption Charge): The charger maintains a constant voltage between 14.3V and 14.7V, allowing the battery to absorb the remaining charge and reach full capacity.
- Stage 3: Floating Voltage (Maintenance Charge): Once the battery is fully charged, the charger automatically switches to a lower floating voltage (13.5V to 13.8V). This stage maintains the battery at full charge without overcharging, making it safe for long-term connection.
LED Indicator Status:
- RED LED: Indicates the battery is currently charging.
- GREEN LED: Indicates the battery is fully charged and the charger is in maintenance (float) mode.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Disconnect the charger from both the AC outlet and the battery before cleaning. Wipe the charger's exterior with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives.
- Storage: Store the charger in a cool, dry place when not in use. Ensure cables are not kinked or damaged.
- Cable Inspection: Periodically inspect the charger cables and clips for any signs of wear, cuts, or damage. Do not use if damaged.
Troubleshooting
- Charger Not Turning On / No LED Indication:
- Ensure the AC power cord is securely plugged into a live outlet.
- Verify that the battery clips are correctly and securely connected to the battery terminals (Red to positive, Black to negative).
- Check if the battery voltage is extremely low (below 8V for a 12V battery), as some chargers may not initiate charging.
- RED LED Stays On Indefinitely:
- The battery may be deeply discharged or damaged. Allow more time for charging. If it remains red after an extended period (e.g., 24 hours), the battery might be faulty and unable to hold a charge.
- Ensure the battery capacity is within the charger's recommended range.
- Charger Feels Warm:
- It is normal for the charger to become warm during operation. Ensure it is in a well-ventilated area and not covered. If it becomes excessively hot or emits smoke/odor, disconnect immediately and cease use.
